Jen Lalket wrote:Is there a way to set up a filter to show all stations in a region that have more than 'X' ISK in value total? I can make a filter that will show single items worth more than X but I can't figure out how to do a total of all items in a station when added together that are worth more than X. (In my case X = 10 million ISK for now).
Also, I would like to sort all stations by the total value of everything in that station....but in a collapsed view so I just see the station but not all the individual items. Is this possible?
As everyone else has stated, great work. Thanks is advance.
You can do this wit a combination of the Asset filter you have and the Overview tab.
Use the Asset filter with the ISK value greater than X, then switch to the Overview tab from the tools menu. It will display all stations with items in it that meet the asset filter criteria. You can further roll this up to System and Region levels by changing the View option in the upper left corner of the Overview tab.
Cheers

jEveAssets stopped updating because my API keys expired. I have re-enabled my API keys, and calling https://api.eveonline.com/account/APIKeyInfo.xml.aspx via the browser shows that the keys are now enabled. But they are still marked as expired in jEveAssets. Is there a way to force it to re-check the state of the API keys? Or can I remove the "expired" keys and re-add them without losing any data? |

First of, sorry for the lag of replies to all your bug reports and questions. Real life does not allow me to work on jEveAssets, but, don't despair, I always return eventually...
@Shirrath 1) You need to create a new API key with access to the same char(s)/corp or change the verification code on the key (both will work) 2) Options > Accounts > Edit (the expired key) > Enter the new API Key/Changed verification code > Next > OK.
I have added a todo, to allow you to re-activate expired keys.

Hi,
Thanks for the great tool, I've been using it for years and I have loved it since day one.
I noticed that most of my contracts don't seem to be available in jEveAssets. I have hundreds of contracts in the history of my various characters, and only 41 total in my Contracts tab.
Is there any way for me to import my full contract history?
Thanks again,

@Taag As far as I know jEveAssets gets everything from the API. It does not save the contract removed from the API, though, It only shows the contracts currently in the API.

Hi there,
Thank you for all the efforts on this amazing tool. I have been a regular user now for several years.
My query relates to missing pricing for some of the latest SKINs. I've noticed that the glacial drift skins are still pulling a zero cost price, even after 3 months.
I would suspect that the issue could be with the end point rather than JEveAssets, but I thought I'd asked anyway (Eve Central is also missing this pricing data, but Eve Markets has started to show it).
Many thanks!

@Zen BraZen It's an indirect issue of eve-central not having the price. When creating the data set for jEveAssets all items (with a market group) are checked against eve-central, if eve-central return an error, the item is blacklisted and jEveAssets will never try to get the price (no matter the price source).
This was done to fix issues with errors from eve-central, sadly it also blacklist the items from other prices sources.
Extra info: When jEveAssets updates from Eve-Central, It gets 99 prices in each request, if one (or more) of the prices are not in eve-centrals database, the whole request will fail, so, you have to get every item one at the time. That takes a long time (I did write a workaround with binary search to speed up the process, but, it's still slow). So, to avoid that the prices are only checked once, when the jEveAssets data is created.

I'm a big fan of the software, but I've noticed that there seems to be an lot of "Unknown Locations" related to structures added to the game after the last item update to jEVEAssets. Is it possible for a user to update the data files on their own to eliminate the "Unknown Location" listings in the Asset tool?
Thanks!

@Pippen Nardieu Unknown locations are locations not in SDE (Such as citadels etc.). There is no way to get them via the old XML API. jEveAssets uses a 3rd party API to resolve citadel names, if you like, you can add your citadels to the API, to avoid unknown locations: The Great Structure Hunt
With the release of ESI, it will be possible to resolve all the unknown locations you have access to. But, sadly, the ESI does not yet have all the end-points needed by jEveAssets, so, we can't move to ESI yet.
I am working on workaround that will allow you to rename the unknown locations Sadly, I don't have any time to work on jEveAssets ATM. so, no progress is being made on it right now

@Tonto Auri Unknown locations are all locations that can not be resolved from the SDE or via the stop.hammerti.me.uk API. It could easily be wrecks, as jEveAssets only get the flat assets list, where some of the locationIDs are itemIDs (When Items have parents).
The flat list also include a lot more data, than the tree list, but, I filter some of it out (Like learned skills, skills in training, Implants in your head). This may be a case where, I don't filter enough of the flat lists content.
If you're okay with it, I would really like to borrow your API Key, so, I can test it locally. You can email me (My email is on the wiki) or evemail me. Be sure to create a new API Key, so, you can delete it once I'm done with testing.
Thank you very much for the bug report :)

Apologies if this has been requested, 59 pages in the thread so it's not easy to go through it and find previous suggestions, but is there any way to get the constellation names or IDs in the assets window? I assume if it was already part of the data pulled from the API then you'd have already included it in the columns list, but maybe you could handle it similarly to how I assume Citadel location information is handled? |

@Werre No, the information is not currently available in jEveAssets. However, you can lookup any location on dotlan maps and see the constellation: 1) Right click any item(s) with a location (Asset/Contact/Industry Job/etc.) 2) In the popup menu select: Lookup > Dotlan > Station or System (Region does not show constellation) 3) You browser will open and show you the location at dotlan maps Maybe, that will be enough for you? :)
Locations returned from the API are IDs. jEveAssets use the SDE (and the Citadel API) to convert the IDs to names. jEveAssets does not currently have the constellation data in the data set extracted from the SDE.
Adding constellations would be a large feature. Maybe you could provide a use case for it? To let me know why it's an important feature, that is worth implementing. :)
@Indy Clone Alpha Yes, that is possible: 1) Open the Transaction Tool 2) Add filter for talos (You need to tweak the filter to only include the 15 talos you just bought, if you need help with this, let me know) 3) The status bar (at bottom of the jEveAssets window) will show you the avg price. You can hover the mouse over the values, to see what they all mean

I have updated the php code that handles the Citadel API caching. It should now work a lot better: 1) It will now handle when the API is down 2) It will only try to update from the API once an hour, no matter if the API is offline or online. I'm sorry for the lag of quality in the PHP code, but, my PHP skills are terrible
