I like how people get annoyed by small things and then say "great job ccp" as if anyone cares or even read what was just posted.
Sorry General I wasn't paying attention what did you say?

My drones regen all their shields in about 3 minutes... scoop your drones and launch different ones while the other ones regen shields. It is not a hard concept to understand. I do however think that drones should have 2 times regen in the bay (or a modual that reps docked drones)

So I'm in my Mega fighting a Raven pilot who decides to set his mediums on my heavies. I pull one in and.. oh, no, wait.
Because what happens is I either scoop it and lose that portion of my DPS or I don't and it dies and then lose that portion of my DPS. Mega's without their Heavy drones are a sorry excuse for a battleship.
A lot of ships are deigned with equal bandwidth and drone-bay. They have no backups. They were balanced having taken the drone damage into account however now those same drones aren't going to last the first engagement let alone a prolonged jaunt through enemy turf.

I'm sorry to say but drones really aren't being nerfed. If you haven't noticed in trinity they are introducing drone bandwith which will greatly improve drones. Oh and drones not regaining sheilds, please man... Just call them into the bay to regain their sheilds.

please do yourself a favor and check up on what you write, it makes you look less clueless. fyi, drones NO LONGER regain shields if redployed and the bandwidth was mostly only introduced to balance the dps of the myrm.

just
drone auto reheal to full for zero cost was broken. Just accept this.
Drones recharge their shields as one would expect them to after the patch, while in space and while in bay.
No more free hit points for you, no more invincible drones. The destroyable downside to drones is not a true downside \o/
just scoop them and redeploy. it breaks the lock, and it takes awhile to lock them even without damps on you. and if your enemy is going after your drones, he is not shooting you. Let him play ring around the rosie with your drones, meanwhile you are still killing him.

last time i checked (i reckon 1-2 weeks ago), scooping didnt break the lock. going after the drones is the smartest thing to do, he can reduce dps by at least 25%, more if fighting against a pure droneboat (unless it is amarr and has the new 3-replacemnt-wings-dronebay, you amarr got a boost, maybe not one you'd have expected, but hey..) and in fact, against a drone boat, chewing through the drones is much faster, than cheing through the ships tank, yet you have put it out of order anyway.

Yes it does.

Meanwhile his DPS is reduced to nothing if he focuses all his weapons on the drones, or he loses all his drone DPS for the process while yours continue to put out damage even while being attacked.

It was neither a nerf nor a buff, it was a rebalancing. Bandwidth decreased our DPS but in exchange we can now carry more spares.

Attacking the drones before the ship is not always the most tactically sound solution, particularly if you're in a gank fit. |

You don't need to devote a lot of DPS to removing the drones. Mediums or lights will devour heavies, with no replacements this will leave the target at a severe disadvantage while you have only shifted a small portion of your damage to eliminating a lot of theirs and can then return that damage to the target itself.

Thank you for showing why the myrm could have stayed with 125 bandwidth/125 dronebay. The ability to choose versatility(some meds, some ecm, some lights...) vs damage(5 heavys and nothing else)
The myrm was overpowered if it webed you and a competent pilot that kept scooping his drones in and out, the only nerf the myrm needed was this: no more full shield hp on return to dronebay.
with that change alone, the only myrm fielding 5 heavys would have been a crazy pilot praying to god or a pilot looking for easy/noob/subpar resistance kills.
