Hello everyone! I have a few questions and after noticing how helpful you all have been to other new players I figured the only way to know is to ask
1.) What are the ship rankings? I mean in which order do you get ships. I know you start off with a Frigate but what's the next class and so on? 2.) I really like missles and long range type combat, I chose Caldari and am planning to be a fighter. Which ships within each class (in your opinion) are best for the fighter profession? I can find setup guides on the forums but I thought it would be helpful to get an experienced players point of view as to get me in the right direction. 3.) Is it best to pick a corporation and stick to it so you get more LP or does it really matter which corp you work for? 4.) I'm getting ready to get an XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB DDR3 graphics card and was wondering if it would work well for this game?
At least for now that's all the questions I can think of. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my post, I look forward to your responses.

I can answer questions 1 and 3:
1> Ship Progression
3> If you are going to build up LP, then I would suggest that you stick with just one NPC corp. However make sure that corp has medical facilities so you can get a Jump Clone. If you ever want to get into R&D and just sell the data cores, you should find one of the three NPC corps that has a medical facilities so you get a Jump Clone, lvl 4 R&D agent, plus all the LP for running missions for them.
Hope this helps you some.

1) see above.
2) It depends if you want to do PvE or PvP. Missiles are not very good for PvP unless you're in the right circumstances and know what you're doing.
3) At low level it doesn't matter. Get a feeling for what you want to do then you can always switch, not that there's much difference.
4) An 8800 GTS is overkill for even the Trinity 2 engine that's coming out. You'll be more than fine.

Wow that was a very quick response! I really appreciate it! I do plan to PVE alot and you've both helped me out a bunch! Thanks so much!! I guess the only thing left is opinions on which Caldari ships are best in each class for fighters.

You'll want to stop using "fighter" and sub "PvEer".
Since you like missiles, it's fairly straight forward:
Frig: Kestrel
Cruiser: Caracal
BC: Drake
BS: Raven

These are all good points. One thing to remember, if you ever need help in completing a mission and YOUR NOT in a corp, only ask those who you know to be trustworthy to help you. Never just ask in local or you might find yourself in a pod wondering what just happened.
If your in a player corp then ask other members of your corp to help you. You can't be too careful as there are peeps in this game who get their thrills by making life miserable for others. -------------------------------------------------- Mission Runners United
