Eat before you take pain killers. Pain killers increase stomach acids so taking pain killers in empty stomach will give you tummy ache or stomach ulcers.
Nope, nothing to worry if you change your medication habit and if you have some activated charcoal pills then take some. If you still have problems a couple of days time then go see a doctor. --------- Technica impendi Caldari generis. Pax Caldaria!

Also take painkillers that are not aspirin, that'll help not make ulcers

No matter where you are, they should have Ibuprofen or atleast drugs containing the stuff. More effective at damping pain and less side-effects.

i wish i just had tooth pain :( It is hard for me to recommend what you should be taking, but something without aspirin is always a good bet as aspirin plays havoc with your interal organs....me however i am on a morphine type drug for my pain....so can't say a lot.

It is well known in the medical community that tooth pain is about the most horrifically debilitating pain short of a sucking stomach wound. If you go into the ER and tell the pretty thing in triage that the only reason you're not crying is because she's so pretty, you'll get What You Need. But for three whole weeks? Oi! I don't know.
True story. I have this dead tooth that should have been taken out 18 months ago. Or capped or filled or whatever. It's caried, *****ed, and abscessed twice. Every so often, once a week or so, I'll get a wave of pain through it for ten or twenty minutes. Couple weeks ago, though, it was coming-and-going, then coming and staying. I eventually tried swishing some ice-cold water, and let me tell you, it was like blowing a nut. Cut the pain right off.
But now my tooth was numb with cold. And we all know that anything that hurts when it goes numb with cold is going to hurt more worserer as it warms up. So there I sit, trying to inch through level I's, chain-sipping about a liter and a half an hour. This can't continue. I'll die of water poisoning. Solution?
Three double Beams, in rapid succession. And another one to take into the head with me, while I take a nap on the throne. Woke up eight hours later. Pain was gone. ----- TANSTAAFL

Weenie. Someone once told me:
"There is no such thing as pain, only discomfort. Everyone has it, but only a few know how to deal with it."
Use some paint and douse that thing.
For more enjoyment and greater efficiency, consumption is being standardized.

I second this.
Much like Excessive Force, if Jim isn't solving your problem, you're not using enough.
Also works great on the common cold.

most emergency departments have an on call dentist.
ask. it may just save you the 3 week wait.
if not. you can do a couple of things.
crush up a couple aspirin (normal dosage) add some water and make a paste. apply this paste directly in the cavity.
or, try to find some oil of clove which is the much better alternative as it is not only an analgesic commonly used in dentistry but is also an antiseptic. most herbal stores will carry this. ----------------------------------------------- Don't think of it as dying, Think of it as leaving early to avoid the rush |

Consult a Pharmacist. Some painkillers should under no circumstances be overdosed and your pharmacist will know whats best for you.
