I logged on today to do my daily research mission, and noticed that there was no email sent to me today. Which is odd because I've done almost every mission my agent has provided me, except for the odd homeless mission now and then. I was parked at my agent's station so on a whim I talked to him and he provided me with a mission.
I thought the problem of agents not emailing you with available missions was fixed a patch or two ago? -------------------- Newbie for life! |

If your agent offers a mission and you don't take it, it won't sent you any further evemails until you complete a mission for him/her.

That's not the case. I successfully completed a research mission Thursday afternoon. I went back Friday evening and there was no email even though the agent had a mission ready for me. There were no failed or unanswered missions between yesterday and today. -------------------- Newbie for life! |

This is a know bug. Sometimes they "forget" to send the mail, but a mission will still be waiting if you go there.

If you are out of Region he will not contact you for mission.
Easy solution
This does not count for if you recive a Bp or not

Since when? I mostly wasn't in the same region when my r&d evemailed me (and I have fullfilled all his 86 missions). But now it happened three times that i got no mail. I trained the RPM skill and started with a second r&d agent. He contacted me via mail for the first mission, but my old r&d didn't send me mails for the last two times. But when I visited and talked to him he offered me a mission. Same for the new r&d. I got no message for his second offer but today I received one for the third mission. Seemed to be that the RPM skill doesn't work perfect. If this still holds on I'll report it.

i think its pretty retarded that they do not send you out of region emails you could be on the highway only few jumps out from him, thatĘs dumb, if you can send eve-mails through eve there is nothing stopping your agents to send you the emails as well.
Were is the logic behind them not sending the eve-mails to you when you are out of the region? They know your eve-mail so what heck, they donĘt need to know what region your in the mail will find its way to you.

I was going to post this same topic; that I have not been getting the e-mail from my agent the past 3 days (friday I think was the last one), but when I do stop in, there is a mission waiting.
So to the originator, you are not the only one. However, is the 'bug' that you have to somehow be in the same region the 'moment' your email is to be sent in order to get it? I have never had a problem emails before friday, and I can't honestly say that I have been in the region on all emails; I would even say that I remember being out of the region and got the email before.
What is causing the emails to not be sent/received? I don't think it is based on being present in the region, but if someone knows for sure, let's hear it.
If not that, any clues that might help stop this nonsense? I would like to fix it so I get the emails again. Flying the jumps to the agent just to check to see if there is a mission ready is not the most efficient.
If anyone had this happen to them before (no emails) and then they started again, do you remember what you did to start the emails arriving again?

So, this night, my first r&d agent also mailed me after he'd "forgotten" this the last two times. AND I was not in the same region, so it can't be the reason if you are sitting elsewhere. Maybe there was a problem with agents mailing their mates if you make use of the RPM skill and they fixed it serveraside. Time will tell for me if that problem will come back.

Edited by: Soilent on 09/03/2004 23:40:10 My research agent forgot to email me again today. Here's what happened:
-I successfully completed a research mission for this agent yesterday. -I logged out last night at the very same station where my agent is. -I've logged out at that station almost every night for the past few weeks and have gotten emails when missions are ready except for a few random occassions.
It's an annoying, but not fatal, bug.
Edit: Just as I was pulling into the station to finish the mission, I got the email. I guess late is better than never. :p Though this was not a short mission, I had to make 3 trips as I didn't have my hauling ship handy. -------------------- Newbie for life! |

well its a bug, by what i can see but so long as the BP emails do go out regardless were you are at then its fine, would be dumb to not get them. support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo

Edited by: Qual on 11/03/2004 11:32:48 But like "Deja Vu" in "The Matrix" indicates that someone is messing with the Matrix, this seems to happen around times when new bp's are released to agents. Alas CCP messing with EvE.

Update for me too. I parked in station, next day did mission, as I got the mission, the email arrives.
Before docking for the night, I also deleted all the previous emails from that agent. I had not been clearing them out; maybe there is a limit of how many emails you can save from someone?
1 email as I got the mission, 1 email before, now email was there when I arrived. seems all might be back to the way it was with emails arriving.

I'm still getting emails from my agent (aside from once in a while when they didn't show up for no reason), and I stopped deleting them a while ago. I've got around 2 months worth of agent whine mails piled up in my mailbox. I took a screenshot of my inbox of nothing but "I've encountered a problem" emails taking up the entire screen. It's amusing. -------------------- Newbie for life! |
