I want to make the distinction between young people and people inexperienced with eve. I do not want children playing a game like eve that is aimed at an older audience. However I would like to see new players join the community and bring more varied types of people into eve and that is why I am attempting to appeal to a wider audience with most the changes I intend to make.

You "meticulously" collect data of social interactions (like that "Fast Times..." clip that I was barely able to watch) so you can see and display yourself as something other than a troll.
You view yourself as detached from the actual interaction and slip into the role of the one that pretends to be in surveillance of the interaction, the one that analyses and steers it...the controller, if you will.
No matter how successful or unsuccessful those interactions (be it trolls or whatever else you shoot for) go for you, in the background you ever presently (I'm guessing not consciously) have your safety net, that whatever the outcome, YOU are the observer going "heh, i have you guys recorded".

So, in the same way, you probably perceive your entire behaviour and persona in here. Regardless of how many times you are called out, contradicted, humiliated or have your carefully laid-out plans foiled (remember your counter-intelligence expert stint?), you can always step back and go "heh, this is all just a social experiment...they don't even know.
