It sounds much better than it did in the 90s, and ideas of having Ahnold play in it. So, to keep things short, I am holding my breath for this. Also, the movie was made before this Bush, and amazingly enough, we have had presidents before him. And clearly they knew plenty about the alien computers as they had studied taht ship at Area 51. Im a huge classic movie buff, and count Vincent Price as among the best of the old-school horror actors to ever grace the silver screen. When i first saw the preview for the new I Am Legend (based off the awesome Matheson novel of the same name...read it) i was utterly shocked. This....movie...will....be....TERRIBLE. Who the HELL picked a man like Will fing Smith to replace Vincent Price? Did they even WATCH the utterly awesome original (Last Man On Earth) or were they just pulling crap out of their ass. This is not intended to be a action movie. Its a story about a man, utterly alone, and his insane monologue nightly with himself as he remembers the past events. Not uber CGI vampires and 12 gauge shotguns. Im sorry for the rant, but please read the orriginal story, then watch the original B&W movie (Last Man On Earth) and you will clearly see what im getting at.

How many good actors have been in crappy films with bad scripts? Granted there is going to be ALOT of CGI to impress the suckers out there. Since Will Smith can't act beyond his usual "tough guy with a heart" it will depend heavily on the script. The big question is will this stick to the book or is this going to be Charleton Heston and Omega Man again? My money is on another Omega Man remake considering hollywood's track history of screwing around with books to make a movie flashier. I automatically assume that when I watch a movie taken from a book. This way I don't feel dissapointed when I actually watch it.
