Can you provide a screen-name at a major site? That way we can check OPR / shark-scope and see if you're a winning player in tournaments.

I suppose it shouldn't surprise me you're in to online poker...
What's to prevent him from choosing a name that's been doing well and pretending that it's him?
That's as simple as asking him to sit at a table on that site (or join it as an observer on sites where observers can be IDed).
As with any IPO it's desirable for some demonstration of ability in the area the IPO is for. With Poker there's pretty easy ways to establish that for tournaments. For cash games it's a bit trickier - would have to find someone with a PT database showing a bunch of his hands in: which is way too much work.

Originally by: Ricdic The OP is asking for some spending money he can use here. I dunno what the stuff FL is referring too is (some sort of other poker tournament of some sort?).
Anyway, Curzon, Seleene etc won't endorse the OP in any way, the most they will be able to say is if he plays on the tables, and possibly they might have seen his play styles, tactics, skills.
If I could pick anyone to test his competency as a poker player it would be Ionia. I don't think I have met a better Hold'em player before that Ionia. And yes, we have played in those servers tens of times (I was a broker there until recently)
What I was talking about was whether he played poker for real cash on "proper" poker sites. If so, then his competence could be assessed from stats - as there's a few different sites around which allow for checking on players' records.
The tournaments described in the topic you link are single-table tournaments: which are commonly known as "Sit'n'gos" on RL cahs poker sites (as they aren't scheduled - you just sit down and when enough people are in the game "gos"). Again, there are sites to check stats for these - IF the OP actually plays poker for RL cash on the major online sites.
When judging someone's poker ability I'd rather look at hard stats than take someone else's opinion.

Originally by: Ricdic man I am so sick of hidden backers. Well it's not so much that I am sick of them, I am just sick of people thinking they can secure their service by saying it had a previous backer.
Hell, maybe it did Maybe Nucon really does have 2 real exchange corps Maybe DragonRiderTAO has a lot of wealth growing Miss Fiona also reported many clients
I think if people are going to use this "I have lots of customers/backers/supporters/employees/whatever" then we need a person in place who can verify that there is indeed a backer and provide basic information (age of char, time in corp, size of corp, sec status, post count etc).
Until that time, it's just someone talking BS to try and make themselves look more legitimate. (note to op, you are just unlucky enough to be on the end of my rant over the way some players are dealing with things in this industry. You may or may not be legit and you may or may not have a private backer. Until such time as the backer comes forward, or a trusted person verifies their existence then no-one should invest/loan/deposit on that merit.)
It's particularly dubious when the supposed backer has the same lack of understanding of using apostophres as the person they supposedly backed.

The backer hasn't come forward thus far (a silent party) hence the point of my post. Unless you were insinuating that I was the supposed backer due to my apostrophe deficiencies, in which case I would not understand why I would be putting a whine thread in a situation that I myself caused.
I am so foncused.
I was referring to certain rather striking similarities between the OP's posts and that of the supposed backer in the quoted mail.
