I don't know much on how thier beaten, I can only amagin it would be considerably easyer for a projectile or missle based ship.
Closest i've tried on sisi was a trimark megaT, ofc on tranq 3x T2 trimark and slave set aren't easy to come by,

If the Dominix has a strong active tank very little will beat it 1vs1, but that kind of setup would be worthless in a gang.

It's pretty easy to beat a domi 1v1, but as in all fights in eve it determines how each ship is setup(decided before you guys undock). Nos/neut domis are pretty pathetic due to their low dps, especially if you are using capless weapons against them. Domis with guns have been harder for me to fight.

that pathetically low dps adds up when you cant do those trite little things, like repair -_-

Not really, it's easy to get your rep cycles in as long as you have charges and they will be burning off much of their own cap in the process as well- taking away their own ability to run an active tank.

the new torp raven can grind down the domi....although if its a passive hp buffer neut domi, you are gonna be in for a world of hurt, and it will be close.
on SISI he popped as i hit struct...course on SISI everyone is using high grade implants and t2 rigs...but both he and I were doing so, so should still even out on TQ.

To kill a Dominix you GANK it - preferable without need of cap... If you can get some distance it's even better.

The Dominix is gallente, so is unbeatable by the other races comparative ships. If anyone comes close, its, as always, a minmatar ship that might do it.

Lost to a Heavy Neutron II Dominix in a 1on1 with my Neutron Megathron.
1200 DPS, 43931 Armor.
Although I didnt get to use my Drones and I had sentries against me too but never had a REAL 1on1 against a Heavy Neutron II Domi.

I suppose injected passive armageddon should kill domi (never tried myself but with Megas its close call, and think domis are tad easier to kill).

eh.. a dominix doesnt need cap boosters to tank a drake, he'll just put on his armor repper and go out for a smoke.
The drake might be able to kill it with a higher dps output, but then the passive tank will fail and the dominix will win.

The new phoon could do it. It can fit a monster hp buffer tank while output around 950 dps with no damage mods. The domi only has so many drones and you should be able to kill them all before it can even dent your massive hp tank.
When his drones are dead then its pretty much doomed.

Just killed a Domi and Aries about a week ago without help.
Nanosac ftw.
Heavy drones are slow. Just stick a MWD on a HAC or BC and kite. As long as you can kill/tank medium drones and you don't get the **** neuted out of you, should be fine. Heck, a smart Hurricane pilot should be able to kill a Domi 1v1. There's more to fighting than just tank/gank. Though I could see a plate Geddon/Abaddon/Mega doing the job too.

To be different, I'd use an Apoc.
If you know the setup you should be able to counter it with any other BS. If not, good luck. At best you have a 50/50 chance, but probably worse as the Domi is versatile and there are many good, and different setups for it.

As with most drone ships, the fix to the 'scoop/redeploy with full shields' will balance them back in line quite neatly.
(yes I like to kill heavy drone using myrms and laugh at them with cane and dislike the fact I cant runinto stupid myrm users fielding 5 heavy drones after patch when the 'no more full shields' perfectly makes the myrm inline with rest of bc even in hands of a previous scoop/redeploy master.)
Nerfing carriers and most everything nice for a t2 freighter that should be tier 2 isnt balancing ccp :( |

Funny thing about the Domi, when fit for missions/ratting I've never been killed. I can't keep the other guy(s) from warping away, but my tank has never broken. Fitting for pvp makes it possible to hold the enemy down, but then you lose the permatank.
