I think we need to DEMAND CCP not release this update.
Players will no longer be able to joke about minmatar ships looking like "salavage" or "Held together by duct tape" etc any more.
Minmatar ships are now Da'BOMB. Great work CCP.

I am totally in love with the Magus-style curlicues and bric-a-brac on the Khanid ships. That adds a lot of character.
By the way, anyone have screenies of one of the surviving Silver Magus(es)?

Navy mega looks kinda ridiculously awesome, so do the Crow and the stargates and just about everything else

Why do a lot of these screenshots not look that much better to me? Is it because people have crappy computers or do screenshots just not do the upgrade justice? I still see a lot of jaggies etc. too....

The Domi is just ghastly. I brought one a week or so ago especially so I could compare before and after, now I kinda don't want to fly it at all. Yes yes, its all well and good being 'uniform' in your racial colourings, but come on. Even if the only excuse was because its an 'old' Gallente warhorse, which is surely why it was brown to start with.
Also, is the Mega just randomly more shiney than the rest of Gallente tech 1 for no particular reason, or was that just a different persons screenshot making that effect?
Minmatar on the other hand, I'm quite liking the new style, though its never going to be 'junkpile' enough (could see that comming from the more recent ships before Trinity).
At least my Macherial was spared from any wierd new colours.

Vagabond looks odd.
The was some sort of flow in the old design that was matching to these solarpanels/wings/gills.
Now the vagabond looks more edgy/blocky, probably to come in line with the other new Minmatar designs, but imho there is not really a harmony anymore with the solor panels.
edit: Maybe it's just the perspective.
On the other hand I think the*****pit of the stabber looks quite cool ( if you look at it as a new ship and not as something that should have the same style like the old one. )
There are some ships that I really like, but I need to get used to some others. I like e.g. Tempest, rupture .... not sure about the rapier, I think the old design already looked good, I like the new Huginn although the old one looked good in my eyes too. Panther is also cool ...
Thorak looks great, Domi has nice details, but the color is not really beautiful. Naglafar just looks like a naglfar ... dunno, maybe need a closer shot ...
Maybe I should get on the testserver and take a look myself.

For me Gallente was the greenish race in the past anyway, not the blue. I associated grey and blue with Caldari.

It's not ccp's fault, thanks to microsoft in order to use some of the dx9.0 shaders anti aliasing is disabled. The game engine actually looks awesome when running, far better than the screenshots here. Guess you will just have to go see for yourselves and make up your own minds. A lot of the screenies here do look to be taken at a lower res, at my monitors native res (1680 x 1050) it looks great and jaggies are not a problem. You can enable AA if you disable hdr so it is all down to personal taste.

I think i figured it out... its because a lot of the screenshots dont have the HDR turned on. It looks way way better with HDR. WIth it off it looks more bland.
