Amarr ships should not be brown. You know what I am talking about. Nearly everything else is about them is great. They look "armored" with the plating over the black sections. They have great details. The Absolution and the Paladin could use a little less red, but its not a big deal, and the Crusader might use a bit more. The Redeemer, and Zealot are hot, hot, hot hot, hot. Really hot. The 8th turret hardpoint on the Armageddon model is making me speculate all over my pants.
But Amarr ships should not be brown. Gold is not brown. Amarr ships are gold.
Please CCP, tweak the colors of the Amarr ships so they are gold and not brown. Then they will be perfect.

Originally by: cal nereus It might just be a lighting issue and/or DX8 wackiness?
Nope, DX8 wackiness wont make the ships brown instead of gold, they will make them less shiney and less shaderey*, but it wont make them brown instead of gold.
*Yes, that is the word i wanted to use

Edited by: Goumindong on 28/11/2007 04:06:46 Tan is a type of brown, i havent seen them looking "rusty bronze" unless you are talking about the current colors on sisi, which might be that, but is in fact gold.

Actually, there's an apocalypse screen somewhere, too many of them floating around now ): but it's in a green station and you can detect a hint of green reflecting off the gold on the top. which makes me wonder WHY IS THE ZEALOT GREEN D:
Zealots t2 color is green. This is fine and good.
Here is a picture of the Omen.
Notice the trim. There are two colors, a silver trim, and a gold trim.
Omen
The Amarr ships should be the gold trim colour, and if they need trim, it should be that cool silver, or the light tan. Then the "undercarrage" would be black to represent the "unarmored" sections.

Edited by: Goumindong on 28/11/2007 06:09:30 Its not about them looking good, they will look good with either color, and look good now, its about brown not being "amarr"

That is just your overactive imagination. The "lots of red" isnt a huge issue, its a t2 color scheme. A little less would be preferable, but eh, not worth worrying over.

Count the number of hardpoints on the model. 5 on the side, 3 on the top ridge. Its not getting an 8th turret.

They don't really look better.
They don't function better.
I would rather CCP have spent the time unnerfing Amarr, or just getting rid of Amarr and giving us a respec.
No, pretty much everything about them is fine and good except the ship color.
