Every time I leave station, every thing's fine and smooth and dandy until suddenly it crashes for no reason shown what so ever.
AppName: exefile.exe AppVer: 3.2.0.43653 ModName: blue.dll ModVer: 3.2.0.43571 Offset: 000534a6
Thats the "error screen" that I got.
Beats me whats causing it to happen every 30 seconds to a minute into flying outside the space station.
Any idea?

This is what I have for running EVE-online if it helps CCP any:
Dell Laptop Inspiron E1505 Duo core at 1.8Ghz a piece Nvidia GeForce go 7300 2gb of Ram
With the above, I'm pretty sure I can handle the new graphic update...Just want to find out whats crashing Trinity and stop it.

Edited by: OldWolfe on 28/11/2007 05:40:29 When I logged back on, I leave my mouse alone and my astarte flies back to station. After 1 minute of waiting, I finally push my mouse around the screen (no buttons pushed), nothing happens. I then press the right button and the whole EVE suddenly crash.
*Edit* Both Right mouse button and Left mouse button crashes EVE-online the moment it's clicked but only once.

Have the exact same problem with blue.dll at the same offset. Made logserver files and filled a bugreport on this.

Edited by: Loedem on 28/11/2007 13:46:31 Have you tried clearing your local cache? I was having the same problem too with stations as it would lock up my PC to where I had to reboot, but I think it's related to having TQ and SiSi share the same cache folder (the problem went away when I cleared it out).
Try renaming c:\Documents and Settings\<your login>\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP to CCP.bak

Will do that now and see how it works.

Im having a similar problem, my client has been crashing after i undock, im using a fresh sisi only cache.
I updated my graphics drivers to the latest nvidia release and now instead of getting an error eve just locks up completely and i have shut down the process to get rid of it :|

Undocking occasionally causes a crash for me, and it also (every time) causes MASSIVE lag, and all the module buttons do not render properly, sometimes this lag lasts up to a minute.

Ehy OldWolfe, I have a very similar issue described in "Client with new content crashes." And, like you, I have a Geforce Go, but 7400 instead of 7300.

Just cleared the cache in the SiSi only EVE.
Being in station using my mouse, everything is going good and smooth. Click undock, exit station smoothly so I wait a few seconds, no crashing. Then place my finger upon the right mouse button and click it one time - *Crash!*
Odd thing is, my laptop keyboard mouse pad seems to be fine 70% of the time (sometimes crashes) but the mouse I added to the laptop (who ever plays EVE with only laptop mouse pad?) always makes eve crash when i'm outside the space station BUT doesnt crash eve when I'm inside the station.
What a strange bug....

No Denzel, but surely our graphic card series must be the problem. I hope we get some visibility in this post, and that they find the way to fix it...

As suggested above, the best way to get issues like this quickly addressed is to file a detailed bug report!
The most important things to include are: - logserver file of reproducing the bug - dxdiag of your computer information - .dmp file (crashdump file) from the crash that occurred
For more information on what to include in it and how to find the right files - click here!

I had same type of crashes.
Try switching from full to windowed mode. Worked for me. And also using the old graphics stopped the crashes.

yeah, old graphics are fine.
mine just CTDs eve.exe wihout any error or even a crashdump. takes my revII client right with it. but it keeps happening even if played 'solo' - as soon as i change the camera (with each nd every new graphics setting); angle or zoom or whatever - putting the gist back into logistics |

Edited by: Cadiz on 29/11/2007 07:54:52 I get the same blue.dll crash, same offset and everything - trying to bug report it now, but the .lbw file I have is 10mb and the form doesn't seem to like that. hey, I know how frustrating it is but there is a reason devs(like the one in here) ask for bug reports to be done in a certain manner, they need all the info they can get as it might not be a simple fix and whenever I am on SiSI,since the new graphics were released, I have noticed the Devs are continuously being needed for this and that, and one on one time with them is practically impossible, keep your chin up

Update your graca drivers.. I got the same problem and updated my nvidia to 163.75 and works nice since then.. (had older drivers on this pc - think 7x.xx or so - cause every nvidia update I did so far 91.xx f.e. crashed my whole computer, but the 161.75 did work)

I always run in windowed mode. More interestingly (...and incomprehensibly), it only ever seems to happen on this particular character's account - on another account I have, I've yet to have a crash. So yeah, that makes things rather strange, although perhaps things are not related... ------ Director, No Quarter "There is no problem that cannot be solved by the judicious application of violence." |

I dont think they have an update for my NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 drivers. If they do, by all mean please point me into the right direction (Already checked NVIDIA's homepage and Dell's homepage, nada).

Radeon Mobility X600, can't get a log because when it crashes the only way out is hard reset and doesn't generate any dumps.
I'm outside station in FD-MJL, fullscreen mode and newest (2006) drivers from HP site. When problem occurs, whole screen freezes (even the mouse) for 1-2 sec and then I get a black screen on my lap and no combination gets me out of this.
I'm using this shortcut thingy '/end /LUA:OFF /server:87.237.38.50' but since everybody does the same so I'm ruling this out as the cause of all this.
To make matters worse I can't post a bugreport since they're down (service unavailable or something like that when logging in).
[Edit] After changing to Windowed mode on the character screen after I click on my sexeh portrait I see the loading bar but then it changes label to 'Failed' and without a surprise I can't get in. ----- Arbitrator - Life & Death

Quote: [Edit2] After writing all of the above I tried once more, this time successfully. I loged on, after comming out of warp near the station I crashed again. This time however rather than base on some logs I tried to listen what actually goes on in my laptop and I have some theory. During opening the game and logging in the CPU is more strained than the graphics card, thus my normal fan speed/noise. But after I get into the game GPU gets a serious load on its shoulders and I don't hear the GPU fan blowing any faster until after the crashRolling Eyes The strain gets even worse when I arrive at the station in FD (lotsa ships there) and probably this causes my (and possibly other cards as well) to crash.
But if that was the case, then why did putting EVE into window mode stop the problem of crashing for me? It seems to show that it's the game causing the crash, not the laptop being loaded with too much (if it can handle oblivion, it should handle EVE...right?).

I'm still playing EVE Trinity in Window mode and I'm still not sure why Trinity works only in window mode on my Dell Laptop. Would be nice to finally go back to full screen mode so I can appreciate the fullness of this new update.

The reasons are already stated in this thread and I still cannot produce a bug report via crash document or whatever its called.

I just checked the Dell homepage for your Notebook (E1505 with a Geforce Go 7300), and the most recent driver version I could find was 84.69, which is ancient by any standard.
Unless you get some more current driver to run on your notebook, I'm afraid you're out of luck.
That other games happen to run fine on your configuration isn't really an argument, btw.
Ciao, Aronis!
