To further describe my distaste to the new Amarr Carthum ship... here is proof of how over-bloody these ships are...

Before this thread gets locked I'd like to point out that by the time Eve takes place I predict the entire ovulation process will be phased out through some artificial means, and occur only on a voluntary basis through some other artificial means when someone wants to get pregnant. Science will nerf the need for the tampon in other words and I'll just stop this post right here.

Why would this topic get locked? It seems to me that this is relevant to the OP, since it might explain the color schemes-- the Amarrians might be engaged in redoing their color schemes to reflect a greater ideological focus on natural reproduction vs cloning. Since this has already been a theological issue with them, perhaps the military suppliers have been urged by the now-all powerful Theology Council to adopt a more "suitable" color scheme, one which reminds the infidels of the sinful nature of artificial breeding.

If CCP would just switch the red and gold parts it would be fine. Red is supposed to accent the gold, not gold accent the red...

Gold is the colour of riches and extravagance and is associated with wealth and prosperity.
Red is the colour of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.
I personally prefer a balance of both... not excessively blood red...
It gives Carthum ships an aura of prestige and elitiscm and with the red plates as a warning not to to be messed with...
Trinity completely changed that... .. i dont wanna a 'love' boat...

I actually love the new amarr colour schemes. Definately the coolest of the lot IMO. The Marauder class ship is my fav, can't wait to get one :)
