I just don't see the point in this idea on the test server, and have yet to read a dev explianation to why this is happening. I am not suggesting we need faster ships/nano setups etc, i know many people feel this is bad anyway... but i think that the idea of the interdicter in fleet battles is to drop temp bubbles.... it becomes a primary target and the only thing you have to save your hide is to use speed. Granted, the recent example of an interdictor being able to tank a DD shows it can be used, but when you read the setup for that ship, you will fined that was developed and trained to high levels for that one job... using T2 rigs and faction mods... which is not that accesible for everyone.
Please don't take this as a moan thread, or understand it from a fleet situation and not a gate camp.... also note/ read the new Heavy interdiction notes and you will fast become aware that that will be the new bubbler on gate camps!
The speed has seriously kicked the idea and training required to fly an interdictor. You have to specilise in similar skills to the interceptor that allows for fast ship combat. One of the few ships that can tackle interceptors are interdictors, and only when your faced with a highly skilled interdictor pilot. and well lets face it, if your getting 15k speeds in your ceptor, even then a highly specilised dictor pilot has no chance to tackle.
Interdictors have slower speeds already and take up to twice the time to turn than an ceptor. Plus... with this nerf, you can actually get a Vaga faster??

Yeah, I was wondering why my Eris seemed so slow on Singularity. I had it fitted out with expanders as a salvage/looting ship, but it seemed to be about 100 m/s slower without any afterburner or MWD active.

I think it's great that a polycarboned ROOK goes faster than a non-polycarboned Flycatcher.
It's been said before, it'll be said again, but I doubt Zulu will understand: polycarbons are the problem. |

please please please don't nerf my interdictor.
its the only fun ship i have left. its already a fragile ship, no need to make it worse. the problem seems to be only interdictors with polycarb rigs and snake implants and faction MWD and all that, and i must be really weird, but thats not how i fit my interdictor.
also, this thing with the aggression and the bubbles and things kinda sorta defeats the purpose of an interdictor, and on its own drastically reduces an already low survivability.
please please please don't nerf my interdictor.

I cant wait for Rev 3 where I mothball my Sabre and start flying the Huginn to kill interdictors 'cause it will be so dam easy.

In TQ i nearly reach 5500 m/s, in Trinity nearly 4100 m/s with the same fitting
