Open the cache folder inside your Eve-SiSi folder and look for the file prefs.ini. Open it and look for the entry "bloom". If its value is set to 2, change it to 0,1 or 3. Those numbers indicate the option "bloom" ingame with settings: Off (0), low (1), medium (2) and high (3). Switching to medium however seems to mess up the Eve start up. All other settings should work (at least worked for me).

Make sure your using the command line switch. I've had issues with it reading the old cache data beyond the first boot.
Can you post the error listed in the logserver?

I'm sure theres a guide to the logserver in the stickies.
You run it in the background while running eve. Simply open the logserver, create a new workspace (its just about the only option available until you do) then launch eve. All of eves file access events (and other such ilk) will be recorded.

Try setting bloom=0 in your prefs.ini file. Seems to be working for some.

inside your main eve folder that you use for sisi there is a "cache" folder
Prefs.ini is in this, just double click it and it opens in notepade etc.

If your running the eve shortcut with the command line switch, the cache folder *WILL* be: *\EVE\Cache Folder. If that doesn't exist, and your \documents and settings\user name\local settings\application data\ccp\eve\cache doesn't exist, then the game should boot fine and generate a new cache folder immiditley.

Nicked from another thread:
If you DIDN'T use "/end /LUA:OFF" (which will/could crate problems for your normal install) then it's to be found in c:\documents and settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE". Understand that Both the Local Settings folder as Application Data one are hidden system folders.
Go to your viewoptions in windows and enable 'see hidden files' and 'see system files'. That should do it.
Hope that helps.

All I can suggest now mate is to delete the sisi folder and copy the original over once again, patch up and go. Make sure you use the appropriate shortcut alterations and it should work fine.
I is out of ideas, sorry.

Having same problem except when I open pref.ini file on my sisi copy of eve there is no bloom entry to change, was working fine yesterday changed graphics options in bloom and said it needed restart of client so did that and the game just hangs, splash screen comes up and then eve crashs to taskbar, logserver says cant find 3d device.

Hmm I have this problem also.
Worked fine until I turned on HDR and set it to medium as someone on here said it looked good and gave good performance compared to setting it to high.
Trying to find that prefs.ini file, but havent found it so far, will have to look in the app data folder like said above and see if i can find it to get trinity working again = Times of Ancar =
