I'm curious about this part:
Originally by: Patch notes Ship bandwidth: Frigates: 25Mbit/s Destroyers: 25Mbit/s Cruisers: 50Mbit/s Battlecruisers: 75Mbit/s Battleships: 125Mbit/s
All those bandwidths are just the max. that is there. The average bandwidths are much lower (like below half). Ex. only 1 out of the 8 tech 1 battlecruisers have 75 mbit/s bandwidth (its the Myrmidon).
Also this part in the bandwidth section:
Quote: ... With bandwidth the damage output from drones can be limited while still allowing for spare drones. ...
Where are the extra drone bay space for those spare drones? Most of the ships just have a drone bandwidth that is equal to the drone bay size. So not much variation there, which was what I thought the bandwidth idea was for... you know so that us drone people can vary our damage types, just like the missile guys can. Or heck even the projectile speewers can.

Did you try and visit their LP stores?
There was somebody on the irc channel the other day that listed the price of the ORE Mining Laser I (I think it was 90.000 LP and 30m ISK)

Kieron, you forgot this one:
Quote: New Minmatar characters trained in Industry and specializing in Prospector no longer graduates prematurely before learning Refining 5
The issue is from bugreport 43539
Out of curiosity are the characters that has been created with Refining 4 instead of level 5, being compensated? They started with just 592k skillpoints ;-)

Mine did that too at one of the patches. I just found the patch .exe file in the client's cache directory and installed it that way without a problem.

Kieron, can you shed some light onto this issue. The patch notes still states this, and there has been a couple of patches deployed on sisi, since they were made. However the bandwidths are still not true for most of the ship types.

I've checked nVidia's homepage and it does support it.
However I would expect that the graphics card might be a bit weak to run EVE at an enjoyable framerate with the high-resolution content, so I would encourage you to try and compare the tables on this page about the best graphics cards currently for different price groups: http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/11/06/best_graphics_card/page2.html

Originally by: Zey Nadar Can mining barges still field drones? Im not sure what ship type would they fit into..
Current stats on sisi (build 44778) are: 50 mbit/s, 50 m3 drone space: Hulk, Mackinaw, Covetor 25 mbit/s, 25 m3 drone space: Retriever 15 mbit/s, 15 m3 drone space: Skiff 5 mbit/s, 5 m3 drone space: Procurer
Given that the drone bandwidths listed in the patchnotes are still not true for the majority of the ships. I don't know if the mining barges will stay like this. But it is the stats they have atm.

Usually, the patch only become available at the end of the patch period, which would be thursday 6th at 2.00GMT. Unless of course they finish early or later. So your EVE will be disconnected, when the downtime starts. At which point you can just close it.
After that you can just check the the eve-online.com website for news. They usually post a news item as soon as TQ is open again.
When the patch eventually becomes available your client should offer to download it, when you start the game.

Imagine you kill 80 rats. That's 80 writes in the database, and 80 writes in your wallet. Now, imagine you kill those rats in less than 40 minutes. That's 2 writes in your wallet, and 2 to the database. Some increase in performance, hmm?
Yes, but the transactions have to be stored somewhere before the credit to your wallet, question is where?
The solarsystem node's memory propably, if they hope to decrease the amount of DB transactions with it. Changing the bounty payouts from single payout to blob payout, also means less data for the server to send to your client.
