well i think i am going to get rid of tiscali i have had problems with them before so now can anybody recommend a good isp that does NOT use tiscali lines ?
sugestions please
should add uk based

i use 1.5mb dsl in the states. the connection doesnt need to be that fast. it could be run with as little as 128kb/s download. but you want good latency.

/Signed on this one. I'm leaving Tiscali as soon as I can, but I need to know where to go in the UK.
Dont want to get landed in a similar situation further down the line.

I'm on BE, switched from Eclipse. Both OK for EVE.

In the UK, all the cable broadband providers are good, and (in general) the ADSL ones aren't.
Even if it's the same company, e.g. Virgin Media Cable (good) vs Virgin Media ADSL (crap).

well its been confirmed again by pipex ( tiscali in disguise) they are running capping (fup) between the hours of 1800 gmt -2300 gmt so those of us that enjoy gaming are nailed
I was advised that if i want to play then avoid peak times as listed above then there wont be a problem
what sort of a response is that especially for an unlimited service

I was with Tiscali but left when they blocked Eve from 1600 to midnight every day. I can't get cable but went with an ISP called ADSL24 which resell Enternet packages. No port blocking or throttling just pay for a useage limit and use it how u want, also i have good latency around 15-20ms on 8Mb (ADSL Max).
