I found the ship indexes, but the ship threads don't seem to compare and contrast different ships.
I'm training cruisers and BCs now in Minmater.
Should I be using a BC for both L2's and L3's?
What Minmater Cruisers and BCs are most commonly used for L2's and L3's, respectively?

Rupture is a good solid cruiser, good for surviving and doing damage. It can be passive shield tanked or more commonly armor tanked.
The Cyclone is a tanky battlecuiser that is designed for active shield tanking with a Shield Booster.
The Hurricane is a ganky battlecruiser that is designed for armor tanking.
Which is better depends on your playstyle and what enemy you are fighting. Most people I know fly the Hurricane, although I've had better results with the Cyclone.

Thank you for the help.
I'm playing on a laggy connection atm, so tanky solutions are preferable.
From the post above, I assume that means Rupture for L2's and Cyclone for L3's maybe?

Hurricane is NOT DESIGNED for armortanking. It tanks active shield much better than armor in PvE, except for Amarr and other EM rats, where armortanking is slightly better.
Myth about Hurricane being armortanker comes from PvP, where active shieldtank is not in most cases.
Anyway, Rupture for lvl2, hurricane for lvl3. Dont bother too much with Cyclone, Its < than Hurricane in most cases, tbh.

Truthfully I have been running level three agents in Amarr space for about 4 months now and I have found that the Cyclone runs those missions better than the Hurricane. With three Heavy Missiles and 4 t2 drones I do more damage against the npcs than my hurricane does. With the hurricane I have to use a webber and ab to keep transversal down so my arties hit. With the deadspace not allowing mwds, I prefer to stay away from the ac Cane when doing missions.
