I've never had a battleship and never want one either...
err...
OK... So I am fibbing.. Had 6 and lost 2... I mainly keep different ones for different purposes but I fly ALL types of ship... from shuttle to BS.
Oh and I was out there on day 1 of retail mining Ark 
Edit: Can't remember how many points I had when I got my first one (Apoc)... but I mined like a mad person for 3 days to get enought mega to sell to purchase the minerals to fill my 1 shot bp requirements. Got the last of the large bistot roids in Fountain before they were scarce so that may give someone an idea as to the date because I havent got the foggiest.

Account opened July 17 (I think), just over 7 million skill points, no battleship.
After seeing how slow cruisers moved in comparison to my handy frigates, I swore them off. ^_^

After jumping into an Interceptor, I seriously doubt anyone will ever see me in a BS again ;)
That said, it took me 4 months to get into a BS. Was no real priority...

ME and my other alt have no BS's does that count ?
My main has a BS.
Shame on him ...!
Started some time in June 2003.
As an alt I only get action when markets need checking. Shame I cant train at the same time as a main

I started on day 2 of release, only trained up the BS skill about a week ago, as one of my friends was giving me stick for never getting a BS in all that time... now i have a lovely Tempest, not that i have actually used it other than to move it from where i built it to another base... and i doubt it will see much action, i prefer cruisers and frigs... And given the running around Gaius was giving some friends of mine in Pator the other day in his shiny new interceptor, i guess i will be heading down that road soon...

Oh i still remember undocking in my armageddon with Anla Shock (had an apoc - the bugger) and we went to fight M3G4 In Obe.
Probably around august or something, had about 2mil skill points.

Started playing when the game went retail, I have 8.5 mil skillpoints and have only today started flying my first TQ Battleship. Been in a Thorax for 7 months otherwise, but been able to fly a BS since August.

well ive been playing since mid may of last year .I have just over 7.5 million skill points ....and i still dont have a battle ship...but i do have a tech 2 frig which I am having fun with atm ..what with the tech 2 stuff coming on now im wondering if its really worth spending all the time and effort in trying to get one now ? it might be better for me to just keep concentrating on getting my skills ready for the tech 2 cruisers ?

Have been flying Vexor until a month ago now im in a Thorax but still no BS :D
Skillpoints 7,184,224 i think im one of the oldest around without a BS.

Started playing on the day of release (6th May). Over 12 million skillpoints later, and not even the sign of a battleship on the horizon.
But my Thorax goes hellishly fast though, for as long as I want it to.
The only BS I've flown was some Minmatar POS on Armageddon Day - the last day of beta. That was enough to put me off...

Playing since about 12 May (but taken breaks here and there). Got BS only last week because my CEO lent me his spare. Wasn't planning on getting one until fully skilled as I have only about 6.2 million skillpoints.
Since my corp is now getting busy with PvP, had to commit. Oh well, since serious noobs are running around in BS, maybe I'm not as vunerable as I thought.

Hehe I started playing in beta and I have no battleship. Course the small print is that I stopped playing a month or so after release (no real agent mission system, pvp balance problems, lots of bugs, trade system issues etc etc) but now Ive come back to see the EVE we had all wanted during beta!
I was for the record one of the first people actually 'in game' after release as well as one of the first Amarr to sell the Merlin frigates in Amarr space and when I finally purchased a Blackbird, it was a rarity with only a handful of people even owning battleships (usually with the help of their whole corp - CEOs only etc).
I proceeded to take my blackbird into Amarr npc pirated areas and created a death zone that was something else - hundreds of cannisters all through the area and now coming back the faction effect has still remained :) But do I have a battleship? Nope, only that very same Blackbird.
But don't worry.. it seems old timers like me are putting their seat belts back on.. EVE is breaking number records and is on a roll. Lets show you 'newbs' how things were about in the old days hehe :) :)

Started 14th May, got my first Battleship, an Armageddon, on 27th June. It was great being one of the first people to get a BS, lots of fans on local chat everywhere I went!  ...but now every bugger has 'em!
I know two Collective members got theirs on the 23rd of June, and I was the second person in my corp to get one, so that's at least 3 people in SA before me, I'm sure there were a few others too that I wasn't aware about.
No ship I'll ever own again will come close to the power that beast had, 7 Heavy Mod Beams with multi freq and 8 stamped heatsinks, giving a damage mod of x16 with a 2.9 sec rof and an optimal range of 18km with a 22km falloff (range mods on crystals/ammo didn't work back then).
Those were the days...
