Just done the second of 3 exams for my ECDL, finished it in 7 minutes 40 seconds with a final score of 97%, pass is 75%

The next few weeks it's going to be money tight, as I need to get pressies and buy that laptop that's replacing my desktop and needs to last at least 3 years.

Sometimes it's just easier to carry a laptop everywhere than a desktop.

It's true that adding to an existing system is so much cheaper, pity it won't help my situation.

I am looking to even sell my beloved GTX 680 to help get some extra money. It will most likely be a difference in getting a decent one or the one I really want.
I've already decided on the system for me, especially since I walk everywhere and don't drive what so ever.

Pity it costs so much just to get an official OS X running laptop

Anyway, do give any suggestions and comments. I'm usually a bargain hunter anyway. Off tot he gym though, something I really need ^_^

Many of those guys keep their money from the IRS by investing it abroad. Since Germany is as far as I know one of the last European countries with a "triple A" rating I can assume that a lot of Greek tax evaders invest the money we lend them back into German corporations and infrastructure.
The funny thing is, if we had invested this money into our own infrastructure ourselves, we couldn't charge interest for it as we do now.

I think it is backfiring somewhat. Here in Germany, most official announcements are in German and English, English has become the most important language in Science and research and more and more English words are included into our language, especially in commercials and media.
It seems like we are eager to abolish our own language (not that it is a very nice language, but at least it sounds dark and harsh ). We don't even have a common border with Britain or any English speaking country- I would understand and welcome when more people here would speak french, but only very few Germans do.
I guess if we keep it up, the German language will be dead in about 100 years.

See, I wish it was the other way round, whilst I'm english, I wish i could speak german. I never had a chance to learn it at school, but If I wasn't english, and I had to choose, I'd of been German, every time.
