Actually I (or rather - Erica) have visitors to our wormhole semi-regularly. Friends (who are RP'ers) often come to visit and spend a day RP'ing while parked under the shields. I have a ingame channel dedicated to the tower there and Erica's quarters.

Another favorite is to take new bros in and show them a wormhole for the first time, Erica's introduced a few people to wormhole space like that who've gone on to fall in love with w-space and join wormhole corps. Her current visitor is a newish player who hasn't seen wormholes before. Actually he might be getting a little worried though since I was so distracted last night that I didn't notice his convo, he maybe thinks we've abandoned him in there lol

I have tried poking my head into the Intergalatic Summit as well, but most of the threads are boring in my opinion.

Ingame in The Summit and the Intergalactic Summit channels it's much the same as the IGS forum in that it's often boring political-style conversation and can also be very cliquey. I like to go a bit silly there too lol and many folks seem to find it refreshing when my girls show up to do their thing.

In my quest to understand people and my apologies beforehand, but I need to get this off my chest.

The developer Gameloft recently held a contest for their yet unreleased game and the winner(s) were given early access to it which subsequently led the game being leaked and is now being pirated. Needless to say, and justifiably so, the developer is quite pissed over this. Think idiot mode for fury and you get the idea.

Anyway, people immediately jumped to Gameloft's defense and replied with the usual plethora of bizarre arguments, everything from excusing any kind of foresight that the developer could've had to outright self-victimization (something you Americans know all about, I am sure ).

When I post this in the thread on reddit: "In my brutally honest opinion, I think a developer who blindly puts their trust in strangers is playing with fire when the company has everything to lose on it, they should damn know better if they want to protect their investment - especially since they can take ever precaution to prevent it, like turn to a youtube personality whose livelihood depend on youtube rather a total stranger in a contest.

I don't think all of the words have a direct translation to English because in the native Tiwi language the words have more complex meaning than simple communication. Some of the words have whole stories of cultural signficance attached to them.

Loosely, it translates to:

It's a traditional greeting and sounds much better spoken natively.

Day 9 of my social experiment and they still don't suspect I'm actually a nice person.

Less than a week in CODE. and already both my main and this character have been subjected to a ton of direct RL attacks, while I've been nothing but polite and respectful, well .. other than repossessing illegal mining equipment in big explosions.

Interesting thing is not one of the haters has been someone I violenced.

Here's the problem with what you said, Bianca claimed she had been subject to real life attacks. I personally don't really like CODE, I think you shouldn't bullshit your ganking victims. But since people are threatening Bianca and other CODE members, it really becomes a ******* problem. It's a ******* game.

If you actually read my posts you'll notice I'm not complaining - I was making a fascinated observation. It is a little suprising though the short amount of time it took to begin feeling the hate along with the fact it's not coming from my gank victims. Although of course RL style attacks are never a nice thing and I don't agree with anyone leveling them, from any corp, for any reason.

My point is simply that it's fascinating to watch (and be a part of first hand) how the vast majority of the EVE populace will generalize all members of a group and have a complete and utter inability to separate IC/OCC or ingame/RL. In fact it's obvious most players struggle to even grasp the concepts, let alone apply them. This applies to CODE as well who's framework is terrible from a RP perspective. It's why I decided to do something very different with Bianca. The traditional arguments don't work on her because I am actually roleplaying. Bianca doesn't understand what "afk" is or what a "bot-aspirant" is, those terms make no sense in her world. She is a terrorist or a criminal, plain and simple.

Of course it's very easy to understand why some gank-victims would take things personally (many people who lose a ship in any space, for any reason, do) but after being privy to the kinds of things these highsec ship losses inspire it's also becoming easy to see how the gankers can eventually take it personally and eventually begin to take an extra level of enjoyment from soliciting the hate.

You smack and insult folks in WHs you'll end up evicted. Likewise you do it in highsec you'll get ganked.
