Played eve nearly 3 years...Played WoW just over 1 (account frozen about 2 weeks ago due to me being too busy to bother buying a card at moment).
Reason I hate WoW is due to it being over hyped...and I mean OVER hyped.
Just look at Pc-gamers ass licking of it, what WoW did was already done by EQ and frankly done better, Eq2 is a better game by far but sony is slowly killing it and servers are depleting last time I checked.
So basically I hate WoW cause it is over-hyped..oh and the fact that no-matter what I search for in youtube theres a damn WoW video that will come up.
Edit: oh and just to clarify yes I will still play WoW...I still hate it being over-hyped..the game isn't bad...It's just not god's gift to the world as some people state.

what you feel is not "hate"... it's called envy or jelousy... i ask myself why some1 would feel something like that towards a game, company or community... if you're so jelous of it... why don't you join them?
ever considered that if the game gets high ratings in magazines, that it might actually be worth those ratings?

I hate it's high success because it is only a moderate game. It make's other more worthy mmo's loose alot of possible subscribers as they are instead going to an overhyped game.
I would put some reasons why this happens but judging by your reluctance to bother listening and your fanboy attitude I wont bother.

WoW is EQ and thus un-original and meh.
Edit: Ah that might of come out wrong, I mean WoW is un-original and meh not EQ, EQ was great and EQ2 Is great but sony are kicking it in the gonads lately.

You are aware that in your OP you asked why we dislike WoW OR it's players.
Therefore the fact we haven't mentioned the players in why we dislike WoW is not against your question. Infact most of us have answerd your question.

edit: and yes some people have not given reason as to why the hate effects them but some have, yet you just ignore it or give a completely pointless counter-argument that just fails.

Due to threads like this people get annoyed with WoW, so like people have pointed out the OP is the reason for the WoW hate, the OP makes WoW players look like fools so s/he kinda shot themself in the foot.

I think the whole WoW hate comes from 4 things, WOW's success i dont think around 9 million subscribers can be wrong.
The fact that some people always hate the top companies, microsoft is a good example, if the haters could make an OS 1/100th aswell as the microsoft company then why havent they?
The wow hate is just a big bandwagon that people jump on because they see the majority on these forums beating on wow.
There is also a big myth that WoW is played by mostly 12 year olds which to anyone with half a brain knows this is totaly untrue and just a stupid comment by someone who decided to blindly hate on a game becuause its not to their taste.
To summerise, the hate for WoW is because of people who A. Just hate the most successful product. B. People who jump on the bandwagon C. Because of stupid comments that people seem to believe.
D. They used to play the quite kick ass warcraft rts and was let down by the soft happy cuddly crap fest that was the mmo.
I mean people can hate an mmo because it's bad you know
