There is a need for balancing and you can see why a lot of the changes are being made. Unfortunately there have been some mistakes which eventually get rectified.
Anyone who has flown a good ship or a flavour of the month ship that has been nerfed knows the pain of that nerf. The most painful in my memory was the sniper nerfs for the people who had trained t2 large turrets.
The myrmidon is being balanced as instead of having bs class dps with a rack of pre-nerf nos is going back to bc class dps. Unfortunately the hassles of drones means that people will fly harbingers or hurricanes instead.
My response to nerfs is to train for a broad number of ships and only specialise where you need a specific ship or you don't have anything else to train. However, this makes progress in eve rather slow.
We almost won.
