Bentula	Posted - 2007.12.04 10:09:00 - [15] Flying a golem in pvp would be kinda silly, if 5-6 BS primary you(and they will), wether or not you die entirely depends on wether or not you got some pesky scram on you that could be anywhere near you in a 20-40+km radius(pesky gallente recons and ewar frigs).

The build cost alone will be quite close to those numbers. And then you have to factor in invention costs (losses too) and producer profit.

Lagar Caldari Core Domination	Posted - 2007.12.04 14:10:00 - [20] there is nothing silly about using faction or tech 2 Ships in pvp. the fact that they will become the more popular target is simply beceause they are more lethal enemy on the battle field. the Golem has therefore an advantage beceause it have alot of firepower and an impresive tanking capability.. it's weakness is it is easy to prevent it from locking you with a ecm ship. most of these ships will most likly be used by PVE'ers simply beceause they cost less isk due to the damage/launcher ratio is changed such that you can fit 3-4 launchers and the damage is in effect dubble. alot of people are not willing to risk such a ship beceause they are afraid of losing it. This is quite understandeable beceause it will probebly cost alot. however if a person actualy uses it it should not be looked upon as a folish idea. heck i can actualy picture a squad of 10 Mauraders with several anti frigate ships escorting it. T2 does not make them all powerfull however, and if you use them you must coordinate with your gang mates far more effectively than otherwise..
