Is there a direct counter to webifiers like warp core stabilizers do for scramblers? |

Guns can be effective. Or ECM jammers/sensor destabilizers (it's late).
Other than that, you can hope to fly away from them and out of range.
There is no specific anti-web mod, though
This all assumes, of course, that you can't warp off. If that's an option, DO IT!

I would have to argue that afterburners are technically "counters" to webifiers, at least in the sense that they do the opposite. Only I suppose most people include an afterburner as part of your ship's native speed (because afterburners are so much more useful than just to counter webs!). If you want something passive like you get with warp stabilizers, you could go with overdrive injectors, but that won't offset the web nearly as much as an afterburner.

There isn't a counter to webs as such because webs are in fact a counter to speed. Basically, you need to be able to get up enough speed to leave the web range of the person webbing you (normally around 10km) either by webbing them yourself, or by having enough speed before you were webbed to glide out of range whilst you are decelerating.

MicroWarp Drives are a little more effective in getting clear of a web, but MWDs do have their own drawbacks as well.
ECM is good if you can manage to break the enemy's target lock. No lock, no web, no problem.
And if you're webbed, but not scrambled, you can leave at any time. (and perhaps return at a better range) _______________________________

MWDs and Afterbunners are good, though the math here is funky - even your 500%+ MWD cannot get you back your 75% speed loss, due to the fact that your 500%+ increase gets factored before your speed drop.
Now, what also works - especially on NPC rats on missions slowing your down - is having some EMP rounds for whatever guns you use (to cut optimal range and increase damage) and if possible a high damage, low range gun or 2 and fast firing assult missle launchers - because 90% of rats that web you are doing it cause they only cause damage at very short range - where your emp short range guns and missles should be able to cut through them like butter. Of course you COULD use smartbombs against infiltrator ships, BUT that is dangerous since it attacks everything in its range.

About the only thing you can do is to break his lock. Either by using a remote sensor dampener and staying out of his redued range, or by using an ECM jammer. There is no direct counter like a WCS. |

The direct counter to webs is to warp off. If he has you scrambled the direct counter to that is WCS.

Though it's hardly practical, more and/or better webs work as well. If his max speed is lower than yours, you'll eventually outrun him. But as I said, that's rarely practical, since he could just catch you again once you're both out of web range, if he's got a faster base/MWD speed, or even just better acceleration.

Sure it can. 500%+ is a 6x modifier to your speed. 75% speed loss is a 1/4 modifier. So MWD - Web = 50% speed boost.
Now if you try a T2 web with a 90% speed loss, you are looking at a 1/10 modifer. That will kill the speed of even a MWD'ing ship.

Multiplication is commutative, it doesn't matter what order you factor the bonuses in the result will be the same.
With a normal (75%) web:
1 * 5 * .25 = 1.25 (125% of normal speed, or a 25% boost)
With a 90% web (which any self-respecting pvp pilot will be using)
1 * 5 * .1 = .5 (50% of normal speed, or a 50% penalty) ----- My in Eve Profile |
