is there a way to tell how many more missions a agent will give before they send you to another agent? it seems i have done a ton of missions and just keep getting the same ones over and over.

Unless you're at the end of the tutorial, agents will not refer you to another agent. * 
It's up to you to check your standings, from time to time. If you ShowInfo the NPC corporation you are working on, you can get a full list of agents (both available and not) within that corp. It will also give you the exact standing you need to access them, if you cannot.
There are some basic skills, such as Connections, which boost your standings.
If you're not keeping tabs on your corp's pool of agents, though, it's possible to keep doing exactly what you are doing... even though you may have access to higher level (and quality) agents... and not even know it.
* The exception are Storyline Agents, who will contact you, after every 16 completed missions for that corp.

Where can i find an entire list of a corp's agents?

So how long does it take to get access to another agent in the corp? I've been doing the missions for the first agent in a corporation for quite some time now, I've repeated all of them about three times and my standing with him is around 4. Am I anywhere close?

You most probably already have access to another agent in that corp. Just right click on the agent, click on show info, click on the agent's corporate logo for corporate information.
Then click on the "agents" tab for a list of agents available to you. You will have to go visit them. The only thing is, these agents will pretty much give you the same missions that you are doing now. But its a good idea to use multiple agents as it will boost your standing with the corp/faction/whatever faster and then you will be able to access level 2 agents.
You also have access to agents in other corporations. For a list of corporations go here: Linkage
You can find information on these corporations by performing a search in "People and Places" while in game.
