recently banned me from the channel after I pointed out that he would be unable to run for CSM because of infractions on his account.

I was in this channel, and was happy. I was ban though, and my world ended.

My only question is why did it take this long.

I was kicked from c&p cause I said things that spank didn't like I guess. It doesn't matter.

... If spank would only come to accept that everybody is different and not everybody is going to devote their time to stroking his E-peen then maybe we could all get along.

As a moderator of "gun boards" where you will find the worst of the blowhards, egotists, fake conservatives, and angry postbot runners who hate actually having to work when called out on their BS and shilling, I can fully understand the need to wield a banhammer with extreme prejudice and have done so without mercy for those who got the hammer deserved it and were told they got it personally the first time, and publically if they pressed the matter.


My observation of this thread indicates that Spank did not melt down.


In fact I wish it were possible to press a button on a keyboard and make a banee's head remotely explode. The world would be better off.

Lady Spank a current Moderator of C&P the Ingame Crime and Punishment channel recently banned me from the channel after I pointed out that he would be unable to run for CSM because of infractions on his account.

Then my good buddy KCD was also banned from the channel as well as my alt TonyC.

It seems Lady Spank has become mad with power and now bans anybody that challenges him.

What will YOU the C&P community do about this?

My professional opinion is that spank has a case to bring this up according to http://www.eveonline.com/pnp/terms.asp number 19.

"You may not communicate, post or publicize any subscriberGÇÖs personal information within the EVE Online game world or website. "

That ofc requires that the information was gained by Xen by visiting spanks facebook profile/whatnot and it's not something spank himself provided in first place. So yeah spank, time to put petition up and remind ccp that ********** was banned for similar offence in the past...

I did not leak anything to be honest. Spank leaked his own facebook.

He started linking his facebook in CnP channel and bragged about how he wore a dress.

Ah my young padawan, see that there is not a problem. He might have linked his facebook account url. You're the one who linked xyz details gained from that way. Check the wording of the number 19. It doesnt care how you gained such information. The only factor you can claim to lessen is if spank had himself published the details on Eve online gameworld or website. Also note CCP protects themself from having to care what happens outside game with number 5.

In CCP's eyes, only what happens in TQ, Sisi and website matters for TOS. By same admission only those things should be taken into account when determining if TOS was broken or not. As facebook is not in CCP's control they cant affect whatever is considered personal there and how it's protected there. In the end it's up in GM's hands to make judgement calls about the matter and what constitutes personal details, what were shared by who etc. But knowing that CCP requires applying CSM members to write agreement to be able to post their RL details, name and location are among those.

I think if you apologized from spank and would let the matter rest things would work out best, then again you might want to take your changes with the management. But for future dealings remembering simple rule should be quite easy, dont post other people's rl related details in Eve-o unless they were published by CCP, otherwise you're risking getting a banana. Oh and this ofc goes for many other games too, their TOS/EULA have very similar wordings to ensure they have their own base covered.
