I think it became evident in the last tournament that there needs to be a viable counter to missiles, even jamming won't take them out of the picture. Drones just got nerfed whilst missiles got boosted at least as far as torpedo Ravens go.
I think we'll see an all out caldari exhibition, even more so than the previous tournament, despite the devs effort to show it could be done with all amarr ships, it was all still missile damage.
As for defender missiles being broken or next to useless, I'd suggest a starburst type charge that suck missiles in and vaporize them.
If we have enough caldari specced pilots on hand we might enter.

i will add my own views aswell:
things i would like:
-add a max. amount of ships belonging to one shiptype and shipgroup (i.e. type:caracal/group:cruiser) to prevent 1 trick pony setups which just get mirrored, since this is very boring to watch.
-decrease the points of faction ships. A whole t1 match is funny but ppl love to see rarer ships.
-allow rigs and implants, some ships only work with implants or rigs.
-give a written down rule documentation before the tourney starts and stick to it. The whole "biased" crying ruined alot of the fun.
-evetv coverage, but also with some rules for those who act as moderators. Teambashing, permanent routing for your own team and constantly repeating the same old sayings, inetmemes or phrases made it very tiresome to watch. The first tourneys with spiral and the noobcrew had more charm then Trev repeating "boom hullshot" for the 1000th time or soemone else crowing on about how his own alliance will pwn and everyone else sucks.

Agreed. The bias in particular was annoying. Of course you want your team to win, but don't resort to flaming the other teams. Ifni and Eddz were decent about it, others not so much.

There were several problems with the last tournament that needs to be addressed.
1. The point system, as it has been said, ships need to be tweeked.
2. Now with all EW (except ECM) being completely useless, we will see nothing but Rooks / Widows / and remote repping..... yawn.
3. Remove implants, add rigs.
4. DO NOT ALLOW GM NOVA TO BE IN CHARGE!
5. Lets put some effort into rewards this time. The last rewards were jokes IMO.
6. Commentators need to try to be unbiased, I realize its human nature to cheer for someone but try to be even.
7. LEAVE ALCOHAL OUT OF THE STUDIO AND NO DAMNED DRUNK COMMENTATORS AND DEVS. THERE ARE CHILDREN THAT WATCH THIS TOO. try to be respectful
8. Have a player base group that create the rules, rewards, and point system. It is pretty obvious that CCP employee does not equal a good organizer nor knowledge of the game.
9. Want to see some of the smacktacular BE on the show commentating 8).
10. Set off an ECM burst at the beginning of all fights. Talked to several teams were GM intervention or lack there of made the match more difficult for the participants.
I could go on and on but the guys that are going to enter know everything they need to know already, except for the general rules. You at CCP will come under scrutiny until you allow these events to be run by the player base. That is the only way it will then be deemed fair, and as close to pvp in tranquility as possible.

I would like to see fewer missiles and a limit to the amount of ew a team can bring.
oh and i would really like to see an open team.
By this i mean a team anyone can volunteer to play in and is selected shortly before the tournament. Managed by an experienced player or the comentary team.
For anyone that knows the sport of rugby i mean like a Barbarians team.
