Originally by: Haggis MacGyver Show info windows merge to just one, so if you want to compare two items or bpo's, you can't as only one info window is displayed.
id there a way to correct this. also got some refresh issues in the hangers and containers.
It's not a bug. There is an option under general settings to reuse existing windows when possible. Uncheck it, and you will have multiple show info windows

Originally by: Octeo One bug I have found, and that I reported on Sisi is that the engine sounds are missing. When manually flying around in space, especially when changing directions, you would hear a sound from the engines. This sound is not in anymore, so space is extremely quiet, unless you have the jukebox on.
I have the same issue. No engine sounds. Also no sounds from guns firing, etc. I have turret effects on, i can see the turret animations, but no sound

Originally by: DeAnnais Don't know if this has been posted yet but my target icons that typically sit at the top of the page are now in like the middle of my screen, not a big issue just kinda annoying.
I've relogged and cleared cache but it's still the same, happened as i was working with the new drone overfiew box if that's any help.
Otherwise nice job from what i've seen so far.
You can move the "origin" from where the targets start appearing. You've got to lock at least 1 target first though before you can see this draggable icon

Originally by: Ephemeral Waves Stargate now react to standings settings. If you have positive standings to an empire and you have positive pilots turned off on your overview, the stargate won't appear.
Eph.
Been like that for at least a year. I remember not seeing Gallente startgates in empire when i had my "fleet" (friendlies off) overview settings, until i realised i set Gallente Federation positive to myself in the very beginning.

Originally by: Marron Kyre Nice one CCP. Trinity deleted my boot.ini file and I restarted my PC before the warning went out. I've had to completely restart my PC- to factory settings. I've lost months of work. Perhaps you could be a little more careful in future?
What's next? Causing PCs to spontaneously combust?
Loosing boot.ini does not make you lose months of work, or any work at all. It is very easily restorable with no change to your data.
Whatever you wiped out is your own doing

Originally by: Edu Journeyman The Premium Client does not support multiple accounts. It's pretty weird since we had, just 1 month ago, the Power of Two campaign.
I'm rolling back to Classic till these serious issues are solved.
Bullcrap
I have 2 accounts and it works just fine even on a single monitor.
I even tested with 1 premium + 1 classic, vs 2 premium clients. I get about 10 FPS more when running 2 premiums

Originally by: Lorn'Alt I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. When i run the game under the premium edition with the graphics set to 24 bit with 8 bil alpha i have this graphical glitch in which the icon for the item in space (say the triangle for the wreck) is separated and about and inch below the actual wreck itself up close. When i use just 24 bit the two are ontop of each other like normal. Has anyone else encountered this?
I had the same issue when i had "Widescreen" option selected in settings (you know, the one that gives you black lines above and below the screen). Unchecking that fixed the issue with icons not being on top of actual models

Originally by: Kellen Tavadon Not sure whether someone has mentioned this yet, but when you Configure your option bar (the one with your character's face/name) the options do the opposite of what it's meant to do.
That is de-selecting the jukebox will make it appear instead of making it disappear, etc.
It works just as intended. Putting a checkbox next to an item moves it into the "accessories" menu, i.e. it removes it from the taskbar. De-selecting it from the accessories menu puts it back on the taskbar. Read the text of what you are actually doing.

So exactly why wasn't I warned before hand that the new graphics engine wasn't going to support even some of the good newish cards out there?
You were. The information was made available weeks ago. Months ago in fact. They published a blog describing the changes and provided a utility you could download to test your system. The last few weeks have seen extensive discussions on the forums and you'd had the Sisi client to test for about as long.
What more do you want? CCP to fly over to your country, hop in a taxi and knock on your door with IT test kit? You must have known that a change was coming and there was plenty of information available if you'd just taken five minutes to go look for it on the official forums.
Stop whining and get a clue.
Edit:Oh and expecting any laptop to run the premium client is a tall order. Very few laptops are sold with top of the line graphics chip sets and those that are cost a helluva lot (going on for ú2000 I'd imagine). The premium client as its name and common sense should suggest requires the latest and greatest graphics card.
QFT!

Originally by: Baranic I ran a few level 4's last night after patching. I noticed just about every object in the mission, be it a rat, the acceleration gate, or buildings, all had the actual ship floating what seemed like 50km 'above' their little icon (red +'s for example for the rats).
Also the blue flashing lights that line the acceleration gates were hovering a good distance over the frame of it, and got farther away from it the more I zoomed out.
Are you running "widescreen" mode by chance? I found that turning off the "widescreen" mode from the general settings fixed this

Oh well, the Trinity wait was for naught...
That would be caused by it's lack of SM3 support
Yes, it was announced months ago that Trinity will need a card with SM3 support. There were tools published here that would check if your card had support for it or not, and there were posts made listing which cards will be supported and which won't be. Then there was the test server with the new graphics engine running so that you could check your card.
So what are you whining about now? Should have acted on it months ago when it was announced, or stopped waiting

When you target something, it will have a "targeting origin" icon next to it. It's semi transparent, hard to see, looks like a crosshair in a circle with a few extra lines. You can drag that around the screen to dictate from where your target list will be. If you can't drag it, then right click on it and choose to unlock it (don't remember the exact wording)

There is an option in general settings to make "pinned" (transparent) windows not movable. If it's not checked, then they are movable

Because in your settings you have "reuse windows when possible" checked .

Not sure what you mean here
They implemented these new windows (those on right side) that can now be moved around. I personally got use to the old way and want it back.
You can have it exactly like it was before. Just arrange the Selected Item, Overview, Drones and Fleet windows one under another like before.
Click the little circle icon on them to "pin" them. They will become transparent
Windows grouped together (touching each other) can be moved around and resized as a single group by holding down the SHIFT key and moving/resizing the topmost window
Once you are done arranging them, goto setting and check the option to not move pinned windows (forgot what the exact wording is).
And there you have the client as it was before.

Originally by: Sekket I get this when trying to put my ship in a Ship Maintenance Array around our POS. I so hope this is a bug, because it's super annoying.
You cannot store a ship that contains cargo other than charges inside a Ship Maintenance Bay. Please remove cargo from the ship and try again.
It's not a bug, it's a new feature: you can no longer store ships with cargo, other than ammo, into SMA. Read the patch notes first next time

Originally by: Countess Markievicz My 'local' chat box (which I normally keep seperate) is minimised and I cannot get it to expand again. I have tried relogging and regrouping it with the others (it is fine when grouped) but once I seperate it again, it returns to the minimised state. This is rather inconvenient at the moment as we are in a war.
Is it minimized to the bottom, or just shows as a single title line? If the later is the case, double click it.
Any window can now be minimized into just it's title by double clicking it

Here is a new one from me
You know how every ships slightly "wobbles" in space now, up and down. You can easily see this if you align part of the UI with a stationery object, like a station, and then watch the UI move around a bit.
Cool effect, was preset before too, but the problem now is: when you select anything on overview, or in space, the view "snaps/jumps" back into default position. This jump is just a few pixels, but because the whole screen abruptly jerks, it is extremely annoying
