Might be in the wrong section I dunno...
So we have a comparing section now....but what if I want to compare stuff that I have on my ship? I didn't see anything in the patch notes on this, and no one in game has been able to point out if I'm missing something. What's the point of having only one "Show Info" screen anyways????

if you info more than 2 things they stack in the same window and if you look in the top right corner ther are << >> arrows to move between the windows, there is an option in settings to disable this (*only stack windows if shift is pressed* i believe..)

Yeah, I often like to compare 4-5 things at a time... like when I'm trying to choose guns for a new ship. This irritated me a little but if you can disable it that's good.

i dont think its a bug i think it was intended afaik, less windows = less stress on server = less lag

Got it figured out, there's 2 options that affect this, Display settings, left side of screen, where it says something along the lines of *shift only something about stacking* and an option right below it, turn the top one on, and the bottom one off.

This is the default option, holding shift will cause it to open in a new window.
Under the menu / general settings there's an option for 'try use existing info window if any' (except if shift pressed)

I could be wrong, but I suspect that windows are not rendered server side and piped down to your client.
But this utterly useless and stupid 'feature' can be turned off by going into "GENERAL SETTINGS" and unchecking "TRY TO USE EXISTING INFO WINDOW IF ANY (EXCEPT IF SHIFT IS PRESSED)"

There's many useful reasons for allowing multiple Show Info boxes, and I believe many people use this feature frequently. AFAIK, it's still polling the server to retrieve info, so there shouldn't be any difference in server strain, even if it's in a single window?
My 2 cents, please change back to allowing multiple instances of Show Info boxes!
