So, any guesses as to what that bright new light in the sky means? Is a new Messiah born? Will 3 slavers be bringing them gifts?
(More importantly, are they Jove and will they leave a lump of carbon in my hangar if I've been a naughty pod pilot?)

Well, the timing and the way it looks indicate that it may be a Christmas Star easter egg.
Or maybe it's an inbound Star Destroyer coming in to settle the debate raging in that other thread?

i think it's the binary star thing, jumpgates can only be put in binary star systems or somesuch RP thingymebob

maybe it's the EVE gate going bananas and opening up a whole new realm for us to explore!
...I read the lore on the broken EVE gate once and it mentioned that you can see it flashing from several star systems away. I always wanted to be able to find it in the sky.
