today i was locked by aa pc moa. i placed 3 remote sensor dampners on him. This should have been enough to cancel his lock. and increase his lock on time dramaticly. yet he seemed to be immune to this sort of dampening. he then continued to hit me for 170 per shot. does this sound dodgy to you?

sensor dampeners do not break locks unless they are out of range. and if they have a lock it wont incrase lock time. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Merc for hire, anything withing the limits |

Sensor dameners only break a lock if an individual tries to activate a module and he is (due to dampening) out of range now.
Take the stock range of a moa add 20-25% for long range tgting. Do the math on the dampeners you were using and compare to what range you were fighting at.
Also don't forget that FoFs and drones work fine while dampened.

Test it if you don't believe me.
FoFs work like a charm when you get jumped by a blackbird who thinks he's gods gift because he figured out how sensor damps work.
BTW: If more than one aggressor both drones and FoFs go for the closest.

FoF's DO NOT work against sensor dampeners. They only work if the guy initiates another aggressive module - such as a gun, missile, webifier, etc...
Me and a friend tested this quite a bit.

Don't be a retard of course the FoF doesn't REACT to the actual dampening (because it's not considered aggressive)
However FoFs DO work WHEN dampened. Which is my point.

Nope.

FOF's work like this:
They will only travel 60km.
They will respond to missile fire/turret fire/target-jamming/energy neutralizing - if someone is only sensor dampening you, FOF's will not fire against that person.
They only fire when you have lost a target (i.e you're being target-jammed or sensor dampened).

The Devs need to change this, Using Sensor Dampners SHOULD be a hostile act and therefore FoF's should be able to track to target.
OH CCP SORT IT, HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE NEED TO SHOUT .

Am I the only one who thinks they are not hostile? Next thing you know, people will say that target locking another player is an hostile act... bad
