i had switched caldari but missiles arent my thing , but if everyone is mean against a minmatar im to scared to do it :p

I fly Nano's i love speed. Refuse to train for a vaga/huggin tho cause in 0.0 its the main ship i see :( Gets boring after a while.
Nano Ishtar for me :)

thats what we used to call vagas with wcs fitted. nano vagas are much more balanced, and not really deserving of the term imo.

I have been thinking of jumping ships to another race now that everyone and their sister flys vegas, debating between Amarr and Caldari - mostly because winning in them is more of a victory. . .

In my opinion Vagas arent that common anymore.
sure, its a great solo and very small pack hunter. but in organized nanogangs, which relies on range, it suddenly gets realy crappy and not so usefull.. one or 2 to defend the ishtars 50km+ from the enemy blob from any tacklers that tries to charge and its pretty much all it can do. and hold down an occasional battleship that flew out to far or hunt down ships thats very far away.
Heavy-tackler, well that a sac,huginn(the best), arazu can do. almost any cruiser which you can fit a scram on and a MWD. and ofcourse the dictors, they are truley the top-notch when it comes to tackling.
The ishtar though, its the most common ship where i roam (mostly from my side), everyone uses it, though it isnt overpowered, just good and safe as it can go very fast AND a) doesnt need to slow down to fire b) easy to make 100% cap stable c) can zoom out far and still deal DPS.
Also: i just finished matari cruiser 5, but then i am in love with the huginn  (can fly ll t2 gall and caldari ships with their t2 weapons, still i want hte huginn <3)
Vaga as a noob-hunter/safe way out? sure, as a FOTM pwnmobile? not a chance :/ get a mothership or a blob

Its decent, but dont compare it to the vaga. Vaga blow it away and tbh vaga is cheaper...3* polycarb arent cheap, compared to 2 polycarb.
I only put 2 on it. Thanks to the stacking nerf, I don't think any ship should ever fit a 3rd polycarb, even if it can. The 3rd one subtracts less mass than a unstacked T1 nanofiber. Not a very good cost/benefit for any ship.

I imagine if you took a old nanophoon thread and swapped nanophoon with vaga it would greatly parallel this thread. Would be funny if it wasnt so sad.
