ok lets talk about Marauders for PVE shall we...
Marauders r way more powerful then their T1 counterparts. Marauders get free Slots/Modules. Boost/Repair Bonus = Free Tanking Module. 30% better Cap Regen due to cap size/regen improvment over T1 = Free Cap(Tanking) Module. Bonus vs Smaller/Close Range Ships. You only get 2 rigs but u can now use 2xT2 CCC's and guess what, becoz of ur marauder initial better cap size/regen ur CCC's r more powerful then on T1 BS's = Free Rig.
Now seeing how u can have better tanking strength as T1 while freeing 2 slots, u can use some creative setups which will make FUN , STRONG setup with better DPS.
yes the Golem does have better DPS then the CNR and every1 who dosnt think so is blind.
Golems have PWG/CPU advantages over the CNR which makes an easier FIT (save slots even) and with the new Torps DPS Boost/Range Nerf u can use the extra slots in the Golem to run an AB (somthing u couldnt realy afford to in the CNR).
Add to that the Target Painter Bonus and Suudenly the Golem Makes an Excellent Torps Mission Platform Totaly Unmatched by the CNR.
Vargur can use the same idea to run its wonderul Autocannon Platform in Mission Running using an AB for those over 30km range ships.
with the new Cargo size Cap Boosters r now Wonderful for Mission Setups and seem to be a great emergency power Solution which also seem to work very well with the AB approach providing Extra Safety, Tactics, and Style.
3 extra Highslots and role bonus, open up some nice new options in ur Mission Setups. wether its 2xTractors, 1xSalvager for extra profit. or Shield Transporter for Gang Support/Drone Tanking :O
i should also mention the Ammunition Saving, which make using faction ammo more attractive. and half the costs on weapons which make buying better weapons more attractive.
So far i only played with the Golem and Vargur in EFT, but im sure the same things can be said about all marauders.
Conclusion, Marauders r Superior PVE Ships with Better Tanking, Better Profit Making (time saving on looting/salvaging) and Better Effective DPS. (yes it have better effective dps then a CNR u fools). And they Open up some New Creative Setup Options which could Never been done before. They also provide Mission Running Mobility as u dont need to bring ur salvage ship along and can carry more ammo/drone/modules with u, and make it easier to join with friends for missions.
i suggest u all get the new EFT 2.4 and start experimenting with Marauder Setups.
