As a high charisma character, will I need to reroll?

I'm learning more and more about how this game works, I'm still a newbie, but my understanding is that Charisma has no actual effect except for on skills. That is, I didn't really think this was a "classless" game, I just thought the classes were supposed to be sufficiently broad that it felt as such (The Business/Military/Industrial division). So, would I be "better off" making a character with more average stats - or higher Int and Memory - than playing this guy who I've got like, hm almost a week on? Thanks for any help.
Mrs Malty	Posted - 2007.12.07 10:29:00 - [2] I would, it's only been a week and whilst Charisma isn't entirely without worth Int Mem and Will are more useful when starting I'd say as ships and support systems skills use these rather than Char.

Posted - 2007.12.07 11:29:00 - [3] Originally by: Viceroy Alaghar Charisma has no actual effect except for on skills. the same is true for all attributes. they have no bearing other than how fast you train the skills that use those attributes. your 'class' is just entirely a matter of what you choose to train, and you are free to train anything. Charisma doesn't affect many skills however. mostly those in the Corporation management, Social, Trade and Leadership sections of the skill tree

Well ofc it depends somewhat on your current SP level also and how long you are planning to play. Cha is the least useful stat and high cha characters are best left as highly specialized alts.
