Edited by: Arthur Frayn on 09/12/2007 03:13:02 I would if I wasn't at work. Someone should give it a shot though. Rattler can fit six torps with their rof bonus and two bonused neutrons. Don't forget the damage mods you can fit in the lows. That has to be better dps than the Golem.

...that's about right. Tip: Whenever CCP *releases* the next-gen ship(s), the entire purpose is to seed the game - your chances of getting one of these ships, is slim and none, and slim left town.
Skills Requirements are high, moreover, the price of the Marauder skillbook is like 59m. BPC costs are at about 1.5-2.0 bil Production requirements for T2 comps is astronomical - puts this ship in the billions to manufacture (I'm sure that someone has done the math incl current BPC costs.)
Vaporware is the term that comes to mind. The only people who can use them will be seasoned players. The only people who can afford them will be manufacturing corps or alliances (i.e. huge profit centers).
Then you get into the whole debate on who gets to fly the company machinery - which means that individuals are bankrolling them, or the corp / alliance is funding it and since the cost is so prohibitively high, that the only people who will get them are directors and primary shareholders. Sigh.
Net/Net: looks great on paper. Reality is wholly different.
For me - I'd love to be able to fly one, but will probably never get the opportunity. Alternatively, you can wait for T3 to hit, and presumably Research will have pulled its head out of its asre. But by that time I'll have cooked off another 12 months of subscriptions - which is exactly what Mauraders ar eintended to do....lol@me.

Like Entity's estamel-tanked one, with a thon shield booster that reps 1400 or so shields.
Have fun with that.
Takes less than 20 battleships to insta pop it. Well worth the isk of full estamel fit. Tanking ability of it does not enter into equation in that 15 seconds it takes concord to arrive. If pilot is lucky he has even hardeners activated.
Have fun organizing the death of 20 BSes.

The BPCs for the Golem were selling at about 650 mil per 4 runs in Forge today which is 160 mil per run. The components on the other hand are much more costly as of course there was a spike in prices with this patch. Estimates were anywhere from 400 mil to over 900 mil per ship. I would say that the first ships to hit the market would cost well over a billion ISK, but over time (several months) they might fall closer to 1 billion or even a little bit below that.

just read all the complaints posted by people whose freighters got suicide ganked in high sec - takes approximately same amount of BS ;)
