Hi, just want to get peoples opinions on this. In my travels through the world of Eve, I've noticed in a few regions of empire space Alliances claiming ownership of low sec (0.1-0.4) systems and operating a NBSI policy. For neutrals doing missions in these systems it amounts to piracy under another name.
Is this low-sec empire 'land grab' fairly common throughout the eve galaxy, and if so what do you think of this style of play. Imho it's a method for carebear alliances who woudln't hack it in 0.0 to push their weight around. But that's just my opinion.

And?
And.... a lot of these alliances are claiming to be industry/mining carebear type alliances yet their actions don't fit their description, and smacktalk any non alliance that enter the systems.

lol well they'd be posting on the wrong forum for starters 
I had one particular alliance in mind when creating this post though. Needless to say they should be losing quite a few towers over the coming months

Maybe you should stop making foolish assumptions first.
The reason I created this post was due to a convo I seen on local chat a few days ago, with a lot of smacktalk coming from the mission runner. I'm not really into mission running tbh and as you already mentioned my corp name suggests :)
I just wanted to find out if claiming virtual soverignty (sp) over low sec empire systems was common through eve.

Well, I do. I expecially love how the OP cloaked his whine for getting ganked in low sec with this thread.
Pay attention tard, I gave the reasons I created this thread above. I'm not a mission runner/carebear type.

FFS, what is it with you Goonswarm?
I created this thread simply to know if alliances claiming low sec systems were common throughout the eve galaxy..... allthough continue to troll if thats what pleases you.
