~Wrong, stop being an idiot, what i pointed out is:
- the Eos could never compete with a BS for damage. it came close and i pointed out maybe this wasn't right, i then showed what the damage with be like if only the turrets got nerfed showing what people would like it to be, please remember here this is with MAX SKILLS so most people ownt even close
- i then showed that a standard fit with guns that fit on the ship with a tank and NO DAMAGE MODS (at this point i would like to point out if you gank fit a vexor you can get over 600 dps, please notice here, noob, that this is not a gank fit vexor, it is in fact a modestly fitted vexor that has a tank and afterburner and stuff...
- now, sigh, your argument about higher dps and being closer... you obviously have never used blasters and i didnt explain how bad they were in the last post but you seem to be stupid so ill show you:
- HAM if i remember rightly goes up to 20km - now i use medium lasers and i know, with ammo changing you can get them up to 20km in about 5 second - projecile guns get a better fallof but to come extent are in the same boat as blasters with something of a 10km max range - medium blasters, you will be damned lucky to hit something at 10km
ok and now for my grand finale: how the hell did you get a damnation to do less damage than an omen, were you fitting it with lasers or something, because all i can see from this is that the damnation using standard fits with no damage mods, does a clear 80 dps over the omen.
you seem to have trouble with this whole thinking lark, so i suggest you stop now
I guess what they say is right after all...
"Don't argue with fools, they'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience..." Mate, you just got beaten.
Drones cannot be fairly compared with guns and shipsizes. Quickly illustrated by checking signature resolution. Light guns have 40, medium 125 and large 400. Heavy Drones have 125 and would as such imply that they're cruisersized weaponry and we need a heavier drone for battleships. Drop that silly idea right away.
The EOS is a fleet command ship. There's no point in comparing it's DPS to other fleet commands, it would be like comparing dps of haulers. Yes, you might end up in situations where it's important - but that is widely apart from their main role. However the Eos had excellent combat capabilities and were as such nerfed from being a direct combat vessel.
The fact that it's an awesome active armor tanker is somewhat void. Comparing it to the other three, the damnation got a huge passive armortank, the vulture got a passive shieldtank and the claymore an active shieldtank coupled with speed. Point is, in the size of engagement where the Eos belongs passive tanks and speed are way more eficient than active ones.
The nerf WAS however to harsh, but not due to killing it's dps.
1. It's stuck with a rather bad gang mod. You're normally simply better of using any of the other three. 2. There's no real incentive to train Command Ships past I. 15m3 drone per level(more spares to unbonused drones, to a ship that will avoid combat anyway? 6 more ECM drone-spares for 2 months of training?? A tad more bonuses to a us)less gang mod?
i would like to point out that the damage difference on drones is directly proportional to the amount of drone space the drones take up, i already mentioned earlier that 5 lights will do better than a heavy drone and why but by your theory the Eos should use medium drones only, where it is obviously intended to use heavies or a combination of heavies and other drones, not to mention that the step up in damage for drones for the space is somewhat different than the step up in fittings for large from med guns, by your theory i would be tempted to think that you think some battlecruisers should be able to use some large guns a few mediums and fill the rest with smalls....
