i use a second account (and a second screen) i currently use my one video card for two classic clients, but i may get another card for two new clients, anyway. Get something similiar to "saitek pro gamer command unit" if possible, it's a small keypad that you can set module activate buttons on. The shortcuts you should have right under your hands can go like this. Oh use a ship with 8high slots, i think i use catalyst with cargo expenders. Module 1-4 (tractor beams) 5-8 (salvagers) these buttons must be accessable at all times. Stop ship (you need it when there are many wrecks around you, when this happens, stop ship, tractor, hit salvage, stop tractor and pull another wreck near you) CTRL on one of the MOUSE buttons, this is a MUST HAVE for every pilot, logitech's g3's extra button that can be clickable with the thumb works excellent. This increases the time you spend on targeting by 1 seconds, while salvaging 100wrecks, this is more than a minute. CTRL+A shorcut. THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR LOOTING. hit the shortcut, it selects every item, drag drop. Open CARGOHOLD shortcut. For the same reasons. Then hit the button again to close the window. Two afterburners and their seperate shortcuts. One is mwd, other one is a normal one. If the wrecks are WAY too seperate, for like, 100km from each other so you cant even warp but still far, take bookmarks for each section of mission (usually two-three) then come back after finishing the mission with your main. Then you can use the mwd. Afterburner is for mid mission looting-salvaging. Dont overuse it as it sucks cap. But you need it when mission has like 4-5 sections, and your main is doing the 2. one, and wrecks are not that far away from each other.
For the ship, you will need one mwd, one afterburner, four tractor beams, four salvagers, cargo expander, nanofiber and that low slot capacitor recharger thingy. Other than the skills that are needed for the modules, you need high capacitor skills, so it actually lasts. For example. When i'm doing level 4 missions with a friend, i can fight with my main and salvage with the alt when that section of the mission is done OR mission doesn't send in any more ships that can target the salvager. I may run out of cargo space once. But i just move to the next mission after taking my bookmarks with the salvager, and return with the salvager to get the loot can, then continue with the salvaging the newer mission.
With some multitasking skills in RL hehe, two screens (i took my second screen from my oold computer, well, i'm a salvager afterall), well prepared enviorment, you can do salvage and loot missions faster than you finish do them and have time to drop the loot, buy something off the market and make it to the next mission :b
And YES it pays off, two-three level 4 missions give 40million of salvageds-loot sometimes even more. I really dont suggest salvaging-looting with the main ship as it absolutely slows you down.
