- The noob comes in and sees the game and says: "Wow, me like!!!!"
- The player arrives and sees the noob and says: "Hmm, let's have fun" and destroys the noob... and adds "Space is harsh and cruel, Noob! Live with it"
- The Dev logs in and sees all that and nerfs your mission running....
Well, player, guess what.... EVE is harsh and cruel.... live with it.

I suggest you either find a way to loot all that lovely stuff, or leave it in the mission.

Since when did the wrecks disappear automatically. I get guys that warp in on my location before I'm even done with the mission sometimes to salvage my stuff. Bookmark the location. Talk with agent and finish mission. Take hauler to bookmark. Loot and salvage. Rinse and repeat.

I must agree, not everyone wants to be constantly tied down to a game but with eve it happens, and its a bad thing, skills are primitive enough, but having to constantly have a "friend" with you in everything you do Hauling lowsec stuff? get a friend! mission running? get a friend! pvping? get a friend...
You can't keep writing off ways to play when you dont constantly have another friend or whatever up your arse to split rewards/etc with (hassle in itself) otherwise 99% of some of our time will be waiting for someone else to log on that has enough time to do something with. And if your answer to that is "join an active corp" then (and sorry for being blunt here) **** off.
People who can play eve as long as they want and can get instant-access to the game need to remember some people can only play at certain times for maybe less than 2 hours at a time in some cases, doesnt mean they dont belong in the game, if they enjoy it then why shouldn't they? there has to be something to do other than watch your rocks gather in your cargo, level 4's used to be this way, more and more its taking unrealisticly long to complete your decent-paying missions...

how do I solved this problem:
1)train minmatar transports 2)fit a salvager and a tractor beam to a prowler 3)bookmark wreck to return after you complete the mission 4)??? 5)profit! ---

Let's see what happens to the price of these mods that are "frigate sized" and have 20-100 m^3 .. lol
Liang
Well yes, that's rather the point isn't it?
The fantastic volume of T1 mission loot that meant if you wanted minerals - don't mine, mission. If you want to sell t1 mods - don't manufacture, mission. If you want to make ISK, mission, because you're making more ISK than you can get doing anything else, PLUS producing large quantities of minerals.
So now it may become worthwhile to be a miner again.
Either that or have your looting/salvaging alt use, say, an Iteron V.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

It effects everyone, equally, therefore I dont see a problem with it. Its also a buff to miners as they can effectively gather minerals more efficiently.

When I started playing EVE I was surprised at just how lucrative it was to loot wrecks. "Loot the Boss and let's go." is the general mantra in other games. EVE has just been brought in line with the mainstream. ----- TANSTAAFL

Easy mega bucks in missions?
Mission ISK is meager pocket change in today's Eve unless you give up your real life and sit in front of your PC grinding missions. Do you know how much a good fitted HAC will cost, T2 fitted BS or a command ship. And you need a wide range of those in your hangar if you want to be effective in PvP. Missions are poor man's way to support modern PvP, which in todays Eve will cost hundreds of millions per loss (unless you want to fly crap ships which will do nothing in gang).
What we see is another try to milk ppl for an alt account. Accountants are taking over CCP.

I only found out about the compression exploit after they fixed it. but compressing minerals for transport by a factor of 10 by producing cheap T1 modules is quite a serious bug if you ask me, very exploitable. This might not be the best way to nerf it, but its quicker
Funny thing is. this only affects T1 modules, named ones (at least the ones I've gotten) are still their old size.
I'm hoping it will be revisited, and an alternate solution implemented that will not work as mineral compression, but at the same time will not be ridiculously sized for ships which aren't meant to transport stuff. Personally i would suggest boosting cargo holds a bit, except for mining barges, industrial ships and capital ships.

Originally by: Alski Well I agree that this was a pointless and unnecessary nerf, but wouldent this work about as wellą?
1. get salvage / looting destroyer 2. jetcan some loot 3. tractor beam the can and drag it around while looting/salvaging 4. keep dragging loot from the desiĘs cargohold to the jetcan 5. when your finished looting, BM the jetcan, warp back to station and grab a hauler.
This is how I usually did it anyway when the looting on lvl4's went over the capacity of my salvager.

I play a variety of aspects of Eve.
Sometimes, this includes running missions now and then (usually to grind some implant or faction item I want...)
I salvage with a destroyer after turning the mission in, but before accepting the next mission.
Cheap loot that takes up lots of m3 ALREADY gets abandoned, so no change for me. (although this does require learning which items refine for most profit, but such knowledge is not to hard to obtain...)
Play nice while you butcher each other.

i guess the fact that less loot will be scooped = less supply
less supply with equal demand = price rise of mods
increase price rise of mods = more worthwhile to scoop loot
so it will balance in time.

I love how salvaging is a "nerf to mission running" here.
Thats a pretty amazing angle.

Metal Scraps are pwn, I collected 1,000,000 of them. Cap booster charges too.
Anyway. Why not just do what other level4 mission runners do?
Recruit new players to your corp and get them to salvage your missions for you. Then when they want to do something for themselves during their gametime that they pay for, hurl abuse at them for not being dedicated enough, lecture them on how soloplay is not efficient, and how only doing level4 salvage for 8 hours a day in ganged missions is the most efficient way to gain standings and LPs, accuse them of not being a team player, and don't offer apologies when a friend of theirs has to shut off their computer after returning from taking them to hospital. Then recruit a replacement.
Or get a 2nd account.
