For those that failed the economics class in school: INflation = there's more money, your money becomes less and less value, prices rise. DEflation = there's less money, your money becomes more and more value, prices fall.

I think... to be fair, what the OP failed to take into account is that the EVE economy continually grows. It is worth more in total ISK value now, than it was 5 minutes ago.
It's fine that we have products in the economy, but we need money to use as a medium to represent value.
You can't have a system where no new money is injected, because that would restrict the growth of the economy by drastically increasing the value of the ISK compared to commodities which are continually produced. (The economy would continue to grow, but there would be less money per item in the system.)
If you don't keep introducing money, you end up with a situation where players haven't got very much, and can't trade effectively, which will eventually force the economy into standstill.
The balance to the constant introduction of money (from NPC bounty, Mission payments, and other forms of NPC buy) is the ISK sink... anything you buy from an NPC. That money just vanishes from the economy. (This regulates inflation, where items start to cost ridiculous amounts of ISK because there is too much of it in the system.)
This is a great system because we don't need a central bank to regulate the ISK and set rates of interest, etc.
Instead, players buy skills and other NPC supplied items (such as POS parts) when they can afford them,
Hopefully, you now understand why you would utterly destroy a wonderful and unique player driven economy by removing NPC bounty money. (Oh, as well as any reason to kill the rats in the first place..)

If each "nation" in eve had it's own currency.. now THAT would be very cool. You could compare the Caldari isk to the Minmatar isk, would make for very fun import/exports.

I agree, getting bounties for killing NPC's is preposterous.
So is getting skill points from training learning skills. Bah! those are not skills at all, they're just implants that aren't really implants and better and can be used 5 times! They should be removed from EVE immediately, or I will cancel my account.

There is no inflation in the Eve economy at this moment. Instead there is slight deflation. We might start getting a little bit of inflation come next year, but it's not exactly to the point where it's a real problem.

Well, actually, ISK can be compared to RL $$$, and there is where inflation takes place. Due to silly amounts of ISK in hands of macro farmers and ISK resellers, GTC prices have gone up over 50% in last 6 months.

Forbidden things can't be taken into account... I honestly don't care at all about the isk price for real currencies. What I see is my favorite ship's price didn't change (for T1, invention changed the prices of many T2 ships : as in decreased prices for AS and increased for commands). Many rare named modules decreased in price.
I'm richer than before because I'm more efficient with the new ships I can fly, but the new ships I can fly are more expensive. It's just the same for everyone and the high end good are sold in greater volume than before. -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

I would like to see the 0.0 bounty removed. 0.0 is law-less, so why should Concord bother and pay-out bounty?
Okay, this would make 0.0 far less profitable, but this could be compensated with more valuable goods/items and not direct ISKs.

Interesting. How would you resolve the fact that your idea would destroy one of the primary ways in which the EVE economy is regulated? Increase mission payouts perhaps? Make mission runners richer?
There's some trickle down economics for you!!

Could I point out that CCP has an actual qualified economist on staff?
This is an absolutely ridiculous idea.
NPC bounty is one of the means by which new money is minted in EVE, and buying things from NPCs is one of the ways in which it is removed.
Think about it like this... here is a weird, but fitting analogy for you.
We all drink water.... and then we sweat or pee it out (we also exhale a lot but that's besides the point.)
When we are little baby people, we drink only a little, we retain a certain amount in our body, and we get rid of it about the same rate we take it in.
As we grow, we take more in, get rid of more, and have more in us at any one time.
If we become nice and big and fat, we'll have a lot more water in us at any one time than we would if we were leaner and meaner... (Big and fat meaning a super duper economy, just in case the weird analogy was losing anybody)
Anyway. If you reduce the amount you drink (removing NPC bounty for example) you'll dehydrate yourself... your body will struggle to carry out its normal functions (stifled economy) with a reduced amount of water. (and you'll have less going out.. skill prices don't change, but if the value of the ISK starts to rise dramatically as it would if you had less coming in, skills would become drastically more expensive in real terms.)
It's an odd analogy I know.. but I think it works.

There has been deflation in many things, particularly the T2 market (t1 went down too)
Which means currently my money buys a LOT more crap!!
There was inflation in some stuff, some faction ships, mods and so on, but overall its gone down HARD.
For example, Cerberus were up to 200mil+, now you get one for 80mil

For T2, with the invention, it is really hard to compare... But, yes, T1 stuff isn't more expensive than it was before.
And ccp's economist looked at all incomes and the amount of isk it created and the sinks and the fact that people dont spend it all...
If something goes wrong, he will point it out. By the way, he already said that the shuttles were too cheap considering the tritanium prices lately.
Anyway, every change pushed the prices in a way, and then people go to stick on the more profitable, if minerals raise, people will mine. If it lowers, people will do something else. If you think that something you can get yourself is too expensive, do it yourself! It's mainly true for low end minerals, everyone can mine them. -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

Wrong. Hyperinflation or hyperdeflation would suck from a gameplay perspective. Imagine earning 100 mil to buy a hulk, but you gotta log off before making the 8 jumps to go get it. Next day, the price is 150 mil.

actually their would be.. until no body had any isk left that is, and every one would have to make everything they use them self since their would be no point to give away free stuff and their would be no currency to pay for it*s
or people would only be able to trade if they had what the other guy wanted.. but highly unlikely in most cases.
