Makes me laugh when combat pilots think they are impressive because they are declaring their own personal war against miners, most of whom can't actually fight back.

Re-read the OP, then post again.
You do realise that miners use hauling ships to move their ore around? Not all players are so lazy that they just sell there ore refined or not at the station where they dropped it. Some of us actually look at the market to see where we we can sell it at the best price and then load up our hauler and go take it there.
If the OP is just going to around killing haulers blindly without any thought that some of them are bound to be just normal players then he's got to expect a reaction.

Bu saying that the OP is targeting miners, because they are shooting haulers, is just wrong. I have a hauler alt, I don't see him as targeting my alt.
Plus, I know Stak, and he is a pirate as well as a macro hunter. If he pops someone who isn't a macro hauler, who has some worthwhile loot - he will be happy!
If you don't like it, don't go into lowsec and afk pilot... And I maintain that this thread had NOTHING to do with miners...
When you put it that way then yes if he's just doing some honest pirating then I've no problem with that. I just don't like it when people claim to be doing one thing when they are really doing something else.
If you don't see the direct link between miners and haulers then there is no point trying to make you see otherwise. Lets just chalk that up as a difference of opinion.
