Stakhanov Metafarmers	Posted - 2007.12.10 02:13:00 - [1] A month ago , I decided to get a move on and do my part to rid lowsec of the macro hauler scourge , sniping bestower after bestower at the Orfrold gates. Farmers fought back and kept trucking , ships were lost and lots of friends were made flying on my side and happily shooting the neverending streams of flying junk. Resources were scarce and the job was thankless , but the will to fight for Eve's future is still there. Farmers have been forced to adapt and sometimes mitigate their activities to defend their profits. And the handful of outlaws dedicated to the cause are cool guys to casually roam with. Only real pirates could fund this campaign with just ship ransoms Beyond our personal efforts , a good part of the community - those who care about the state of the game - is indirectly supporting us. Encouragements , connections , and generous donations help us stay afloat and persevere. Since we start small , we are open to any willing recruit : no SP requirement , just the dedication to the outlaw way of life and to the eradication of farmers. We can train those who are not yet used to piracy. Today , the hardest part of my journey in Eve begins. I acknowledge that I have the power to influence the future of the game , and accept the responsability to spare no efforts to that end. To clear the ISK farmers that pollute the Eve landscape , and prey on the carebears that don't care about it

Not all players are so lazy that they just sell there ore refined or not at the station where they dropped it. Some of us actually look at the market to see where we we can sell it at the best price and then load up our hauler and go take it there. If the OP is just going to around killing haulers blindly without any thought that some of them are bound to be just normal players then he's got to expect a reaction. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only thing more dull than mining Ice is hauling it

This is my personal view mind. Bu saying that the OP is targeting miners, because they are shooting haulers, is just wrong. I have a hauler alt, I don't see him as targeting my alt. Plus, I know Stak, and he is a pirate as well as a macro hunter. If he pops someone who isn't a macro hauler, who has some worthwhile loot - he will be happy! If you don't like it, don't go into lowsec and afk pilot... And I maintain that this thread had NOTHING to do with miners...

I just don't like it when people claim to be doing one thing when they are really doing something else. If you don't see the direct link between miners and haulers then there is no point trying to make you see otherwise. I have yet to see someone willing to go outlaw for farmer killing , who doesn't want to pirate people. As for the regular players who blend in the farmer crowd to haul their stuff safely through the infested regions , I don't have the slightest bit of mercy for them.

Makes me laugh when people post before even learning anything about the topic of discussion. The chinese in low sec do not macro-mine at all. They run macro-haulers in hauling missions, and then they do combat missions as well. And they do fight back(not that one should aim to only fight targets that fight back- that is just silly. eve is not a dueling game). Do you not consider a massive blob of chinese ravens to be fighting back.

CCP add war decs against NPC corps? From what I have seen, most of the people that are and will be working with Stakh are already -10 sec status, so sec hits aren't a problem. Although Stakh's Corp will be focusing time and energy into destroying the Farmers, there will also be opportunities for training sessions covering all aspects of Pirating; which is a great way to learn from the ground up for fledgling Pirates. Most established Pirate Corps have steep skill point requirements and other things (i.e. experience) for candidate membership. I believe the only requirement for Stakh's Corp besides a willingness to go outlaw (if not already) is dedication and motivation to the Corp's cause. So this is perfect for anyone willing to learn Piracy, while killing off some farmers that are hurting this game at the same time.

I've been basically undocking and sitting outside the station in my Chimera. I lock, I stab and web...and insta pop them with the fighters. This all started because I was bored and a friend of mine in game noticed them all over the place. I am now -10 and couldn't be happier. I've been doing this about two weeks now off and on and have easily approached 200 hauler kills. Every once in awhile I'll accidentally pop the "real" hauler doing his missions and I promptly apologize and reimburse. For the most part though, it's the same characters over and over and over. I tried to ransom them and told them I'd stop but they don't speak a lick of English. I think the best response I got was when I told them to pay up and I'll go away... in return I got "I love you" in local. I also got and eve mail asking "why so malicious" in russian which was kind of funny to me. I've probably destroyed close to 1.5 billion worth of ships and equipment (according to the killboard anyhow) and wrecked their agent standings on several occasions. Not to mention the loss in time they face having to go get another ship for me to pop, the mission collateral, and the mission rewards. Now, it doesn't take a genius to do this and I realize I'm nothing special but I have gotten many pats on the backs and kudos from of the real locals. Just wanted to share my story. I'm happy to see others are out there doing the same. Yarrr!!

A thought: In a way, while CCP continues to allow GTC sales for ISK, the only real result of your efforts will be to make sure that only people with more disposable income IRL can purchase ISK. So assuming that GTC for ISK is inherently an unfair practice, ISK 'farmers' could be viewed as equalising the game a bit, keeping RL advantages out of the game. Freedom fighters, you might say :) No doubt I've got some flame coming my way for saying that, but it's an idea with merit, imho. Eat the rich!

You're not popping macros all day, though it's a part of what the corp does, but it does not get dull. You can fly around solo, gang up with some to go belt or mission hunting, well, do anything you would like to do as a pirate. Just with the additional goal to get all those farmers back to WoW where they belong to grind Big Cojone's Mana Potion Level 547 en masse. Because all these macro accounts are paid for directly, not with purchased GTCs... CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that.

I'd prefer someone to at least use that tactic, (which still has a chance of getting caught) than logging under gatecloak. As all this encourages is the campers to bring enough people to destroy you within 30 seconds. Another nail in the coffin of solo pvp. --- I've always wondered about those Vagabond pilots...
