Hi, I'm a new player to Eve. I've played for about 3 days total and I'm pretty lost race/skills wise. I was hoping that I could tell you guys what type of play style I wanted to go for and you guys could help me out with what race/attributes/skills to go for. Please excuse my noobishness in advance!
I want to play a character that is very high tech related. Not so much the giant ship with a bizzilion guns. More so a ship that's sleek, fast and packs a punch. Stealth would be nice also. I'm not such a fan of crafting but wouldn't mind all too much if I had to do it. I like the idea of being crazy high tech and advanced like that. I like all the doohikies and gadgets that come along with that.
Any help for this noob would greatly be appreciated! Thanks

Maybe you could work towards becoming a covert ops pilot? Just keep doing combat missions, while training skills all the way up so you can fly those nifty ships. Ignore the guy above me, he didn't really even read your post it seems.
Get EVEmon and have it form up a skill plan for Covert-Ops ships. You'll like the sneakyness and speed they offer.

Learning skills followed by advanced learning skills and adding attribut implants every now and then.
After the weeks that will take you, you'll probably know mor eabout the game to decide what you are going to do.
Stealth and punch, recon ships is the way to go, probably

By the sounds of things, you want a tech two ship. Thats a ship thats an upgraded version of a ship. For example: The Enyo, which is an Assault Ship is based around the Incursus, which is a simple Frigate.
These tech two ships come in many varieties, with both combat and exploration. However, to access any of them, you will need to get your Racial Frigate skill to 5 (e.g. Gallente Frigate V) This may seem a lot but once you train the skill, it opens up a lot of doors (Interceptors, Covert Ops, Assault Ships)
Hope I helped, remember to train Learning skills as early as possible because they speed other skills training up too.

Sounds to me like you'd enjoy Cov-ops and Electronic Warfare (thats sneaking up to and paralyzing enemy ships) rather than the 'blunt instrument' style of PvP.
As the dude above me said, learning skills come first but only if you are sure you like the game and are sticking around. If you are still on trial and undecided then train the 'fun' stuff instead.
my suggestion is look up the new Electronic Attack Ships and train for those. will take you a couple of months to get good at then and they are expensive so practice in there T1 varients first.
If you are dead set on speed then theres nothing comes close to Interceptors. pure speed machines designed to get to and hold an enemy till the heavy artillery arrives.
