New graphics all the way. No one will call my Domi a space turd again (space whale maybe). Pity my Wardens don't seem to have a model anymore, but the Ogre IIs look sexy.

I went from 180 FPS to 60 FPS while dual boxing so I have stuck with the new client.

I forgot about that till you mentioned this. I noticed that when running the Premium client that the mining lasers weren't making their noises or showing their beams at work like they do with the classic client. I was wondering at first if they were working too.

I never even logged in with the classic content. I went straight to Premium. It's gorgeous, 150+ fps on my 8800 GT @ 1920x1200, but I doubt I'd be happy with it on my old videocard.
I just hope they fix the slowdown issue when running 2 clients in Premium mode soon. ;)

Yep, I moved back to the Classic graphics :(
Too many hard crashes with the new one.
I still get crashes with the classic, but no where near as often.

Better FPS >>> Better-looking stuff.
In spite of the so-called "optimised models" for Premium, the Classic version handles much better FPS-wise.
And let's not even start about memory issues (even with cache off) if you try to run 2 clients.
Yeah, I was back on classic almost instantly after downloading the Premium patch.
I just wanted it to make a couple of screenshots, nothing more... I re-activate it every now and then.
Back to Classic almost immediately after.

Yup, for several reasons. Even though I have a decent card, a 7800 GTX, I can't get the settings right and the ships/stations white out on me. Plus, it slows down running two instances, and I like to play that way.
I agree with the guy who said the old graphics were fine and wish they had spent the money on game play. But then, I pine for Zork and PBM games. ;)

Except in exceptional circumstances I'll be sticking with Premium. My machine does have some trouble running two clients at once (no glitches, just slowdown), but it also has some trouble opening calculator, because my windows installation is 2 years old.
And anyway, I just dual box when I need performance.
It's nice to be once again oohing and aahing at my ships as they fly around.

I installed Premium, went back to Classic.
Classic is much better looking than the crome dome look of premium. Classic has much better fps. also.

I have a more then capable system, Windows Vista with Quad core processor and 8800 ultra, but i switched back to classic because i don't like the new look of alot of the ships and it runs my video card less hot, and takes less resources.

I also have top notch box and gfx card, both crammed with as much memory as physicly possible at this day and age (firm pays my hardware ^^), and I also promptly opted to go back to the classic graphics.
From my point of view, the new gfx engine is half baked at the best, and I fully expect to start using the new engine, once CCP has sorted out bugs and the mind boggling inefficiency of the engine. It's just a matter of time, I'm certain it will become predominant eventually.

the only thing stopping me is sm 3.0, ponders if its possable for them to make a low res copy of the high end graphics for classic, or 3 options classic/new classic/premium

I run the premium gfx on my main and using the same eve installation run the classic gfx on my alt using a seperate shortcut with the "/end /LUA:OFF" flags so the settings are seperated.

I moved back to classic bevcause Premium is "shinny" but that is all I can say for it.
Not that impressed to tell you the truth.
AMD 64 +4000 2.9 ghz CPU
3 gigs of dual channel RAM
6800GT 256 APG card
So my PC can handle it but shinny don't impress me. Bug fixes do though!!!

I moved back because I couldn't play multiple accounts with premium graphics. Works fine with the original graphics.

I use premium to make things look shiney and to take screenies. But when i am doing any combat or dual-accounting i run in classic as it makes for better fps and loading times. |

I dont really have a choice but to play Classic (safe mode) because Trinity Premium splashes and crashes each time i boot it up.
Which kinda sucks because Eve was part of my reason for upgrading the PC.

Well I have an overclocked dual core and a 7900gs, worked ok sometimes in trinity, but for some reason I noticed fps drops for no apparent reason ie. not in combat. But I could look at multipe ships outside a station and have 60.
I found trinity buggy and it isn't polished, also running two accounts causes one to close if you alt tab. Classic runs like a dream and I put both clients in windowed mode that nearly takes up all my screen and I'm much happier.
I'll wait 3 or 4 patches before trying Trinity again.

hell my pc is pretty damn good and I still moved back, have to run 3 accounts at once for some of the stuff I do.
oddly enough it seems to be the random disconnects that arent so random and come when loading the ship window in stations or after doing about 15 system jumps.
wtb game that doesnt disconnect me every 15 mins

I run classic to do mining ops with 4 clients (only becuase of the godawful blue mining laser effects as they stay in the 30fps range with all premium..) and premium when I'm flying solo or maybe with a second client running a cov ops scout..

i run the new grf but have turned off the shadows, and frankly the FPS performance is great, when i enable shadows it dips massivly.

I switched back to Classic on may Dell D820 Laptop, not really designed for games in any case, but my 8800GT in my desktop just begs for the amazing new look, run at 1600.1200 full everything not a hiccup.

I've moved back to clasic, new grafix was just dark ships a siloet in space. After going back I now have hanger problems ships and mods black squars, The Over View is a total mess. Lots and lots of conflictions in the game now, players still flashing red long after the count down has finished. Oh and lets not forget the lag.
I hate to say it but CCP you may have dropped the ball here.
I am hoping a reinstall of the game will sort this out and I'll do it as soon as I trade some BMs over to an alt (just being lazy) but i think it did a sort of reinstall on converting back.
I have spoken to many players who are having simular problems. A petition just got an automated responce.

If im doing pvp or transporting expensive stuff, i use classic.
Premium crashes like 4 times every hour, so i wouldnt pvp with it or transport expensive stuff, which i tend to do. Classic is rock solid.
