Ok I have been running missions for quite some time. What I want to know is how in the world is the "casual gammer" supposed to keep up with the 5% faction loss per week? When you only get a 0.09% or 0.1% faction per mission you simply can not keep up with the faction loss as a casual gamer.
Assume you have a 2.0 rating. You would have to run 50 missions at a 0.1% faction change per week just to keep up with the 5% loss. Of course the missions give different faction changes and this is only a question of averages.
I liked it much better when the faction did not decay. If you are going to make it decay at least make it so those of us who can only run a couple missions 3 or 4 nights a week can still keep up and actually gain some faction over a relatively sane period of time.
I had to get that off my chest and now I feel better :-)

Great someone complaining about something that is a line somewhere in a patch note, but hasn't actually worked for 2 months! ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

5% loss of your 2.0 rating would result in a 1.9 rating.
The gain is calculated in a different way. You don't need to run 50 0.1% missions for regaining that loss.
BTW: at least every 20th mission (if not earlier) is a important mission which gives a gain of something around 5%.

Hasn't worked? I have lost at least 2.0 faction points with Krusual Tribe Burea since I stopped running missions with them. I am not sure where you are getting your information from but I know I am losing faction every week.

decay had been deactivated, they decided it was to harsh and wanted to change it.
Are you sure you didn't make the loss out of other reasons? E.g. killing some rats with positive standing to that corp/faction?

I dont know but thank god that the faction decay is not implemented.
50 missions a week is alot beleive it or not. I do that now easy but I play 6+8 hours a day. And yeah all I do is agent missions mostly.
But that means I wont raise my standing as muchw ith the decay and therfore it would take me 5X as long to get a perfect faction standing. I guess its ok if you give me 6 months or less to get my feet under me and my faction and corp st andings perfect before you go ahead and make me run 50 missions a week for every corp I have a agent in which is pretty impossible(unless it is faction only).

Jazari: Check the standing-log. Rightclick on your standing towards that corp and select "Show Transactions" It will display all transactions, including the negative ones and the reason for the change.
