TBH QFT.
Your use of macronyms astounds me. Clearly you are a superior being. Now shut the hell up and let the grownups talk.
Aaronus. If you don't like the podcast, then stop downloading it. Blinky and Urban have done more for the EVE community than the vast majority of players, most (all?) of it for free and with no complaint. They make a podcast about the game we all love, do a damn fine job at it, and self-righteous forum *****s like you come along and think you have the right to **** all over it. You're not witty. You're not clever, and when you go after two guys who are old school community rocks like these two, you end up looking like a jerk.
OMG they don't play the game for every waking minute because they have JOBS and RESPONSIBILITIES. Go back a couple of podcasts and listen to all the interviews. CCP knows who these guys are and respects them enough to give them an interview. Zapatero, another of the community's greatest assets, has shared work with them more than once, and pretty much everyone who listens to the podcast adores it and its lovable (if slurring) creators.
Stop using internet anonymity as an excuse and shield to be an ass to a couple of guys who are trying to enrich the environment you play in. Judging by your corp history...all 3 pages of it, you're not a terribly personable fellow, so I don't blame you for your blatant attention-seeking behavior at the expense of two of the community's best.
My forum gloves don't come off often. Apologies to the non-troglodytes of the thread.
Let me make my points before you just insult me alot harder than I did them or thier podcast.
They have been playing this game a long time and have alot of wisdom to offer but they don't in the shows. There are no segments, just them reading the news. And not even from the sources most times, just from the forums which is not the best place for the facts. Nor do they really comment on the news, they just speculate and don't really say what they think, maybe to not appear biased or to make anyone angry. Which doesn't make alot of sense when they don't have alot of time to play the game anyways.
They also mainly read news about alliances and 0.0 which to this day is still a smaller percentage of the playerbase. If they want to grow the podcast they should probably talk about things that involve the other 70% of players in the game.
As far as interviews go, hey that is awesome. I congratulate them on getting to do that. I just think out of the whole complexity that is EVE and as deep as it is it is very wasteful to put out a podcast that most of the time is two guys reading news from the forums. I have nothing against Urban or Blinky, they seem like nice guys and do love the game but I get the impression that they want to be popular and tied to the game whether through a podcast or eve radio or whatever things going on outside of the game are.
I mean if you don't have time to play a game, it might be a good idea to hold of on a podcast until you have the time to do content for it. The last couple episodes I haven't even finished because they are exactly the same format. If they develop some segments or content or something then I will continue to listen but right now as far as I am concerned the podcast isn't very good.
Fact of the matter is if any normal Joe was doing this podcast you people wouldn't even be listening to it.
