I quit the game because I lost my uninsured Domi back in the days but am now back and trying to create the ultimate drone boat. It will be used for a bit of all around, but aiming to do mostly PvP with a side of ratting - with this I thought about basically being a support ship with lots of tanking power and drone power. I was thinking either Domi again or Myrmidon. Anyone who can clue me in? The threads found in the ship index thread just tries to get away from the cookie-cutter fittings so it's not something like that I'm aiming for. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Your dungeon is full of yoghurt.

The nerf is the now missing shield refill when you scoop the drones. Scooping only breaks the lock now. Also damps are a lot less efficient now to keep the enemy from 'fast' targetting the drones. At any rate, what did you expect? That essentially invunerable drones will stay in the game forever? Rifters!

Every time you do, you find there's actually a better idiot out there. Ishtar makes a good allround drone boat. Fast, mobile, high damage output, and HAC resists. And thankfully T2 cruisers are 'sensible' money, too. -- Crane needs more grid 249km locking? GMP and TNP

Idiot proof? = No. With Neuts and against most "less experienced" pilots = deadly. -Most ppl don't shoot at drones anyway! They prefer to shoot at Domis "sick-tank" -Even if they DO shoot at drones, anything without a huge buffer tank cannot resist for long enough to shoot more than 1-2 maybe - fair trade IMHO. -Most BSs with huge buffers are have either cap repentant DPS, or not enough DPS -Most Active tanks have either less effective DPS, or buffer, or both. I'd love a Domi Question: should someone already have good Neuting, Cap and Armor tanking skills (aka Amarrian) - is the Domi "good enough" at BS lvl 4 to cross-train? Cause this is "easy". I am he, the bornless one
Don Jehova Gallente	Posted - 2007.12.14 10:46:00 - [13] In an age where plated BS's (especially megathrons) with full gank become more and more used, the domi is loosing alot of its ground as a top solo PvP BS. Atleast the cokiecutter neut/nos version is. It is still good and cheap and can make a hell of a support boat, but the time as solo wtfpwner is over. Other drone boats such as a eos/myrm/ishkur have been nerfed hard. The myrm is still somewhat good due to the hard tanking abilities, but no where near pre patch. This leaves the ishtar that with a good speed tank is very viable solo, and IMO alot of fun. ______________________________________________________________
