Whenever I try to go to www.eve-online.com in firefox, it makes it take up 99-100% of my system resources and it takes 2+ minutes to shut down.
I've been reinstalling my machine a few times in the last two days, and this problem has kept coming back.
I've narrowed it down to the newest flash-plugin (before that's installed, firefox takes up 1% of my resources... afterwards 100%)
anyone know if I can do anything about it?
BESIDES uninstalling flash, as I need it installed for work.

Try using Flashblock. With it installed all flash is disabled by default. You can enable every item by hand or by site. Look at the offical add-on site from Firefox.

when i first visit eve site everything is fine until i try and acess a myeve page and it takes 30 seconds to load it during this time the browser is completely locked up.. once I load a page everything is back to normal.

What OS are you using? Anything else running Firefox addons ?
I only have firefox at home and it works fine on XP, Vista, 2k and Suse.

I used to have same problem, I pretty much resolved it by deleting IE, since XP, Vista, and IE are made by Microsoft, they want you to use their programs. You can always wait some time for when the kid who made FireFox brings out the OS hes making, which I think might be better than what Microsoft can make.

It¦s not an Firefox/Flash issue! On my XP machine I had problems with Firefox crashing on all sort of sites, but that was an update or two ago. On my Vista machine, Firefox, Explorer, EVE of all sorts, co-exist without a glitch! Your problem seem more to be with your general machine setup!
