yeah to clarify, we are hearing Virgin are testing traffic shaping software like tiscalis on the southeast part of the uk, Thats for the adsl customers , cable is unaffected.
My tiscrappy conection was out for about 2 hours from 8 pm tonight.
Please note all we're wanting on this thread is reported outages, not advice on swapping ISP , or how pipex, bulldog , eclipse,toucan etc are better so change to them, as most of the time they are owned by tiscali anyway.

Yeah I like those, you can only gets, I had same from Tiscarappy 5 meg at best. till their man came round for a visit, made a phone call to someone , and happily told me the line can take 7.5 all day and it did , till shaping time. I so think they have us all believing the crap about how far from exchange, long wires, extentions etc , when it seem all they have to do is actually turn the bugger on.

You obviosly have the gripe with ccp. I don't know if ccp are bothered about losing customers about this issue, I don't work for them.
With other ISP's being bought up by tiscali and more introducing traffic shaping , how long before all UK isps have Eve issues?

Don't really care, as I said earlier, was after people with outages posting and allows me to monitor the problem, we have got acknowlegement from Tiscali at least rather than being ignored. We are just nagging them at the mo. All the rest has been commented on ad nauseum, including changing isps.

I was having these issues with Tiscali 18 months ago. I nagged, I was encouraged, reassured by technical people assuring me it was being looked into- and NOTHING changed.
They bank on people hanging around and putting up with it- and price the cost of a few leaving into their budgets.
Just move. They will not change anything.
You are not being very helpful here, we have finally got a specific person in charge of their broad band support forums interested and asking for our complaints and you are fighting against us. I encourage anyone with Tiscali to post on the provided sticky, and at least give this man a chance. As previously stated we have seen it all about swapping ISP's, that hasn't worked , so we are trying this. The subject of what is wrong has been thrashed to death, please just post the outages as requested. Thanks.

Seriously mate- you are doing yourself and others a disservice. You do not have someone at Tiscali doing something, you have someone at Tiscali SAYING he is doing something but being utterly unable to give you any specifics as to any action which might be taken, or when.
I have heard it all before- 18 months ago. And the problems remain.
I am not fighting against anyone- thats ridiculous. Im urging people not to waste their time and energy, like I did, trying to nail jelly to the wall...
If I start a thread asking for something and you post saying don't bother how is that not fighting against me and what I'm doing. Please stop posting and hijacking my thread or go make your own telling people not to bother. Thanks mate.
